Ashir Aley High Waisted A Line Flared Swing Woman's Green Plaid Midi Skirt

I purchased this in a MEDIUM a few months ago because I was searching for new work clothes and it's somewhat difficult for me to find clothing that would look flattering on me. This skirt was a lightning deal at the time and was around $16. I read the reviews and proceeded with caution because many of these cheaper made items run small.My waist is 27 inches and my hip size is 40 inches so you can see why it's hard for me to buy clothes.* This skirt does NOT stretch at all the waist is very sturdy and there was absolutely no give at all. It was hard to pull the skirt over my butt and I feared I might break the zipper. If I had a big lunch it would squeeze my stomach and would be very uncomfortable.* The length was great for me. I'm 5' 4" I have a long torso and it came to my knees. The lining is about 4 inches up from the hem of the bottom of the skirt and there were loose threads on it as well. I didn't mind all too much because the skirt was so cheap.* It has pockets! I think all women's clothes should have pockets, but that's not important. I have a Samsung Galaxy 6S which is a pretty big phone and it only poked out a tiny bit. these pockets are good for small things but be careful because the lining in them is thin and my keyrings would catch on them.* I only got to wear it roughly 5-6 times until the zipper broke. The zippers are cheap and become unaligned easily. I managed to get the zipper off of the one side and i'm not skilled enough to repair it myself so I will bring it to a tailor to see if it is fixable.If I had lost another inch or two on my waistline or ordered a Large this skirt would be way more comfortable. I was very unlucky with the zipper, but had I not been I would have liked this skirt a lot more.

UNLIKE the picture, the light stripes (I bought Navy) are misaligned by 1/4 to 1/2 an inch where the waistband meets the skirt. I was NOT expecting perfectly matched plaids in a $30 skirt, but the picture shows the light stripes on the waist band placed FAR away from the light stripes in the skirt - it looks like an intentional (clever) design choice. My skirt just looks like a novice sewist messed up the plaid placement (been there, done that). This could have passed for a high-end skirt, except the crooked plaids wreck it.I really want to keep the skirt, but I think it'll bug me.

XL is a US large which is as I expected. I am a size 10 in skirts for higher priced garments and a 12 for less expensive ones.The zipper is on the right side instead of the customary left side of US skirts, however that is no problem. There was a small one inch section of the pocket lining that was not stitched together, but I stitched it up on my sewing machine. The quality of the fabric and the weight is nice for Texas winters. Not to heavy, but looks like a light weight wool. Color true to photo.

Purchased this skirt. While I love the color and the look (not the best material and not the worse), the fit was off. I usually wear a small to a medium depending on the designer. I'm 5'2" and I weigh 130 lbs. I ordered a medium, I could barely zip this up. I admit, my midsection is generous (more than I like or accustomed to - I'm working on it). If your mid-section (stomach) is not flat, you may want to go up a size or two.

I like it. It's very full & lined underneath. The medium fit perfect. I'm 5'4 and 128 lbs. I usually wear an adult size 2.It's made to wear high on the waste & it does not stretch or give any. The zipper is a little hard to get all the way up but I've probably paid more for worse. It hangs a little quirky (slightly uneven) but no one will be able to tell. I'd buy it in other colors if they were available...especially being that it is now on sale.

First of all, the sizes are not accurate. I wear US 0-2 (XS), but size small (US 2-4, according to the description) was too small for me. Medium would be perfect. It seems that the sizing conforms to standard Asian sizing. Thus, go at least one size up, or even two sizes as in my case. Measure your waist with a tape and consult the product description which gives waist measurements in inches (I wish I did that myself...)I loved the cut. The skirt has a very attractive fit and would make a great combination with a turtleneck or a light sweater. However, the fabriс is too polyester. It is rather rough, not so pleasant to touch, and does not drape well. It also has a light shine which I do not like that much.On the positive side, the craftsmanship looks good: No loose or broken seams or threads. It can be a good buy if you do not mind the polyester and get the sizing right.

Omg I love love this skirt. It does run small, I am a waist size 32 inches, I got a large and it is a bit snug but I still wear it. I wish they had other colors not just the two they have. But it is really good quality for the price as well. The best part is that it has pockets!!!!! Gosh really wish they had other colors!

First, the skirt is absolutely adorable and for the price, the quality is much better than I expected. However, I went by the given measurements and it was at least a size too big. There is no give in the waist and I could still easily take it off without unzipping it. Because of this it looked ridiculous on me. I’m jealous of the people it works out for, it’s super cute!
