Large Compost Planting Blocks - 800ml-1 Litre Soil for Pot Free Seeding These large Grow Blocks are an innovative new growing medium which are 100% peat free, being made from 100% Coco substrate. A mixture of coconut pith and husk chips are enclosed in a degradable netting making the Grow Block self supporting without the need for a plastic pot. The purified, stabilized coco substrate is carefully manufactured to have a water holding capacity of 60-75% and an air porosity value of 20-35%, this tried and tested construction ensures optimum oxygen diffusion along with ideal water holding which results in rapid, stronger rooting and very healthy vegetative growth on developing plants. Low mess and easy and convenient to handle. Rehydrate with water to yield ~1 Litre of soil, and sow your seeds. Once germinated, remove the netting and plant out. Suitable for all types of plants. I thought this was proper soil it's coconut husk.
Get some proper soil. This was absolutely infested with white bugs and it destroyed what tiny amount of growth my coriander actually had. It was so infested there was no way to save it and I had to bin it. Do yourself a favour, get some proper soil. It had no nutrients so what little grew did so very slowly. Absolutely avoid this and get some proper soil.

I bought it for my cockroaches and giant African millipede and it was perfect, my millipede can burrow and it stays moist for ages
