I am finally ready to install a swinging door and pulled these out of storage after buying them months ago. looking at these they seem to not have much quality control to keep everything nice and aligned. the video instructions leave me with no confidence these will work which instead of using an actual door the video shows a strange install using 2 pieces of wood. I am taking my loss and going out to a big box to purchase better door hinges. I can tell these will give me hours of aggrevation based on the quality, prior reviews and probably not last.

Well made hinges. They work perfectly and are beautiful.

I bought 2 sets of these, several months apart. Would have been a 5 star rating except for these 2 issues. - In the first install, the first three screws broke off at the head. So I threw them all out and used drywall screws. Due to this experience, I didn't even try the screws in the 2nd package. Minus 1 star. - Both packages were taped up haphazardly with deformed boxes. Not an issue for the first set. However the 2nd set was very scratched up next to the spring set pins. It appeared these were likely returned at some point and then sent to me. If this was not the case, then packaging was very poor and needs improved. Additionally the 2nd set made some kind of clicking noise prior to install. The first set did not present this issue. Minus 1 star. Overall these are good working hinges for the price. I would buy them again, but hope the supplier improves the packaging (or not sending out returns) and screws. Additionally, although listed for thicker, they are only good for 1-1/4" thick door. Otherwise you will need to router out some material to make this fit (I had to do this on one door).

The hinges are well-built and sturdy. Definitely a good value. However, I needed to install this on a Frame that was wider than 1 1/2 inch. These hinges cannot be mounted on a wall or a frame that is wider than 1 1/2 inches. So I had to return these and get hinges that are completely flat on one side.

Installed these hinges on a picket fence gate. The gate weighed 25 pounds and the hinges could not handle the weight. During install I had to use my own wood screws because the screws provided kept breaking off. After hanging the gate I adjusted the spring tension as high as I could to try and keep the gate from sagging but to no avail. The adjustment tool, a small piece of metal rod would bend when trying to adjust the hinge, I had to improvise and find a more sturdy pin to use to adjust the hinges. To get the gate to swing to the center I had to use wooden wedges, made installation a pain. If the gate was 15 pounds or less the hinges may have worked. I would not recommend buying this hinge.

Although the parameters of the project changed and these are not to be installed here onsite, it should be noted that these are very heavy duty hinges with very strong spring tension, which is adjustable. Having installed many a door in my life and times I am not readily impressed with hinge quality, though am, with these.

Bought two sets and each one had a barrel that did not rotate smoothly, it made a grinding noise and was not useable. Very disappointed.
