Having owned a dashcam for several years, this is the way to go! Forget suction cups that fall off and break or double-sided tape that melts with heat. This rear-view mirror mount is light-weight and very easy to adjust (model CH368).Before you buy, be sure that one of the heads will fit your dashcam. I believe the dimensions are 11.5mm x 8mm and 10mm x 8mm in addition to a 6mm screw-in mount. I tried this on a Rexing V1 initially, and though the 10x8 fit, it was not secure enough for use.This mount is perfect for securing my camera in my 09 Corolla. It's high enough to not draw attention but low enough where I can duck down and peek to confirm the recording light is blinking. The ball joints are very easy to loosen and tighten and allow you to position the camera how ever you like.The only other thing I would consider before purchasing is the size of your mirror stem/stalk. If it's very large and bulky (like those in some SUVs and trucks with backup screens) the inside circle may not be wide enough to fit around the stem even if you use longer screws.In my experience, this mount has been the most effective and reliable way to hang a dashcam. It's very affordable, light-weight, easy to install and remove and won't fall off.

It broke into little pieces after a few months. Tossed in trash.

I tend to not want to write these reviews, HOWEVER, this product was so perfect in how it's made and how it solved a problem I have been dealing with for several YEARS - just a complete lack of a way to hold a dashcam on my windshield. I have tried everything I could come up with - those useless double stick pads that come with the units, the suction cup method, double sided gorilla tape, double sided carpet tape. My challenge is that I park my vehicle in a railroad parking lot during the day. During the summer the car turns into an oven. During the winter it's a freezer. The extreme temperatures make the mounts loosen from the windshieldEvery one failed.This device provides a solid mechanical connection using the rear view mirror shaft for connection to the car. It works PERFECTLY.

It works well enough that I kept it and have no complaints for the first 24 hours of use. It's an improvement on the suction cup mount. But I am not wowed by how easy it was to mount, nor my impression of the build quality, nor the info given about what it will and won't fit. But it is good enough for $10 and five minutes of effort.First, the good:1) It works. It is currently attached to my 2018 Ford Escape's rear view mirror mount with my Anker Roav A1 camera attached to it, and it works.2) It seems stable enough, and I don't detect any shaking while driving over Michigan roads.The less good:1) It is hard to install it behind a mirror with the tiny wingnuts and screws - but it can be done.2) It does not fit the Anker Roav A1 camera as-is. I had to file off about a millimeter from each side of the mount slide, and also lightly file the slot on the camera to slightly widen it to accept the mount slide fully. But I made it work, and though it did not snap into the camera's mount like the stock mount did, it will hold tightly if you are not too aggressive with the file in the slot on top of the camera.Would have been nice to know that the assortment of mounts are not compatible, but for ten bucks, I took a chance and still made it work. Ordered a second one just now for my 2008 Honda Odyssey.

I purchased a dashcam from Amazon. Even though it was less than $50 it works great for what I need. The one problem with it was that the suction cup mount started to fall after 30 minutes of driving and sometimes wouldn't attach at all if it were cold. This kit fit my dash cam, and has a number of different attachments so that I would think it would work with any dash cam that has a suction mount. It takes a few minutes to install, and it is not the most elegant solution, but it doesn't distract from driving and I would recommend to people who can't keep their dash cams from falling.

Did not work with Aukey dash cam. First connector is too big, cut and file to fit. Then link too short to get center angle. Hits mirror.

Makes mounting my dash cam easier to my rear view mirror stalk. Comes with various adapters so one fit the clip on my cam. I decided to mount it high near the mirror so it could have a better view out of the windshield and not clutter my dash.

I bought this to mount my dash cam. Seems to be made of quality. I didn't want to use a suction cup, but I didn't want to use a mount that permanently mounts to my windshield. SOME people have reported that it breaks if it gets too cold or that it is not big enough to fit around their rearview mirror...to that end I can only say look at your mirror before you buy to make sure it isn't huge and don't put a huge load on it.....I like it! If I have any trouble, I'll update my review

I was skeptical about the holder but it turns out GREAT!! It works like a charm and super easy to install! It got all the components I need. I would definitely recommend this! I installed it before I took a picture, but the product arrived as displayed.

Attaches to the rear view mirror arm - no suction cup necessary.Suction cups do not work -Only minor problem - the attachment for my particular dash cam was a little too big butstill holds the dash cam with a little force to shove it in place.Much better than the suction cup -

It does not fit Mercedes car,Their mirror mount is different.

The box came with a bunch of pieces in it without any instructions. I would have given it a 5 star but the lack of instructions I had to lower it. I googled and YouTubed to find how to put this together with no avail. I finally went back to the pictures on amazon and found one that showed it put together. From there it was easy. I like it better than the suction cup because I know it wont fall off in super cold or super hot weather.
