A Jughead yak cheese chew was accidentally delivered to my home in 2023, and I have never been so grateful for a mistake!! You can purchase these for less at your local grocery store, but the density and quality don't compare. And all things considered, the quality of these is absolutely worth it! These chews last my dog months (not a super chewer) and are the only chewing product he will use. Not only does my dog love them, but he has gotten a few of his friends hooked too, which tells me they must taste pretty good. We keep at least 2 in the house at all times for maximum chewing pleasure!

Ok a little background on my dog first. He is a mutt. He loves shoes. Loves tearing things up. Will pick up random pieces of wood and chew them until it's essentially mulch. Will always find a rock to nibble on (how?? We don't know. We've tried everything). All toys have lasted approximately 10-15 minutes max, and bones up to 40 minutes until he has eaten the whole thing. But THIS! Thank god we've finally found something he'll chew and not get tired of. This will last about a week or two (esp since he goes on and off), and we love it so much, we've subscribed (if only to save our shoes from being torn to bits). Got a chewer? Get this.

This chew splintered when my dog chewed on it, and there was a sharp pointed fragment. Don't take a chance with this, as it may hurt your dog! I would be afraid to give this to any pet, as it splinters. Don't buy this!

Not as good as this brands other yak chews.

I liked the yak bone because I wanted to use one of the covers and have them fit properly and for the yak bone to last longer - it did! Surprisingly! But only if the yak bone is just the right size. I ordered two bones at the same time and one she got out in about 30 seconds, the other took her much much longer. I was watching DogTV enrichment exercises listening to Laura, I believe her name is, and she said how much more satisfying it is for your dog or any dog to get food or a treat they “worked for”. So that is what we’ve been trying to do, with food, bones, & treats. We only use yak bones, so it was nice to see the “jughead” Himalayan yak bones go on sale. Also she prefers the natural taste, and that is sometimes hard to find. If you’re interested in DogTV, now is a good time to try them out since there are multiple coupons out for them. I got mine from Groupon, but I know that they have their own deal as well. It’s really worth it, not just for your dog, but you learn too. Especially if you have a new pup or a rescue, it’s a safe way to expose them to different sights, noises, and people or animals. And I love the different programs of stimulation, relaxation, good night, & exposure. And of course the tidbits for owners on how to keep your dog healthy, active, and safe with proper enrichment activities. Melissa

My dog is obsessed! He chewed so many things in my home I made a TikTok series about it. Once I introduced him to these he has been slowing down a lot. Once they are too small to chew you soak them water and then pop them in the microwave and they puff up like a huge cheese puff and he goes wild. He knows it too because he sits in the kitchen until it cools down and taps and whines until I give it to him. LOL I am buying these for all the dogs in my life for Christmas.

I got a similar one at a local store but the hardness rating was slightly softer. I would recommend these over the softer ones all day because they last so much longer! I was worried the puppy wouldn’t like the flavor but that wasn’t an issue at all. As a bonus, this treat is pretty much mess and smell free. I would buy it again. Especially while the pup is still teething.

The holder looks great but the yak chew that came with it is SOOOO small it falls out of the holder when I pick it up!! You'd think they'd send you the right size treat to put in the holder....?
