Works as it should be
It fits perfectly and worked as it should be. Has been working for over 3 years now and no issues. The knob could be made if better materials, but it is working and no issues since I don't change the settings that often

Temp control
Installed this temp controller on my 1940s GE refrigerator, everything I needed was in the pack (had to make a bracket to mount to refrigerator as original parts were missing from refrigerator) but was a fast simple easy install. All has been functioning as it should.

Not for a freezer.
Does not work for a freezer, lowest temp setting is 32 deg.

Works great, so far so good..
It's not the exact replacement (original was about 5times more, this one was nice and cheap) and I modified it just a little to make it work for my mini fridge, working great so far 🤞 hope it keeps working for years to come..

Easy change out
Seems to be exactly like the original the part numbers vary some as to the temperatures desired but otherwise identical.

Just seems to be always on
There are no instruction as to what the button on the top does. There are no instructions as to what turning it all the way past 1 does. Both of these actions just seem to pause cooling for a short amount of time. Other than that, the thermostat just causes the freezer to be on all the time and hover around -20 degrees fahrenheit. 1 or 7, the results are the same...-20 with the compressor running non stop.

I bought this to replace the broken thermostat in my 5cuft Beaumark chest freezer that seemingly is made of parts no longer available. Might work OK in a common refrigerator/freezer and on that basis I gave it 5 stars. The description is misleading however. This thermostat will not work in a dedicated freeze-only appliance such as a chest freezer. Tried one thermostat then sent it back because I thought it was defective so I tried another. I set to it's coldest setting and it ran until my freezer reached -26C then it shut off the compressor then the freezer warmed up to almost 0C then started all over again. Tried adjusting the range screw to no avail.
