Shrimps and loaches love!
Bought the mini wafers for our paludarium. Our 3 nano shrimp and hillstream reticulated loach began devouring after it softened up within an hour! They definitely have a preference for the algae wafers than the biofilm that grows. Would remove within a few hours otherwise if you have a current, it begins flowing around.

TINY but mighty
These are very small and my shrimp absolutely love them. The size is a little awkward though because one is just big enough for one or two shrimp, but no one taught my shrimp how to share so I have to break it into even smaller pieces so they can all get some. I would probably buy a bigger size next time, but these work perfectly regardless. No mess, sinks immediately, and my shrimp go crazy for them.

Hikari.. a brand you can trust. Our fish love this stuff.
I bought these with our otocinclus algae eaters in mind. Well, our guppies love these wafers and they tend to get most of the food. (This is ok because I also put fresh zucchini in the tank.) Our guppies will swarm around the wafers which is really fun to watch. As for the otocinclus, I put a wafer in an ornamental cave and they get a chance to get some of the food as well. I'm pretty amazed by how much or fish really love this stuff. I shouldn't be surprised though... Hikari is synonymous with quality.- The algae wafers contain "bakery products." I wanted to know exactly what the bakery products are, so I e-mailed Hikari about this. They wrote back and said the following: "This is a proprietary ingredient that we have identified as containing higher levels of lipids that fish can readily utilize and also offers an efficient carbohydrate component."Below are some more specifics about the content of this food:INGREDIENTS:Fish meal, wheat flour, wheat germ meal, starch, dried seaweed meal, dried bakery product, dehydrated alfalfa meal, alfalfa nutrient concentrate dehydrated, brewers dried yeast, soybean meal, fish oil, krill meal, spirulina, garlic, DL-methionine, chlorella, astaxanthin, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (stabilized vitamin C), inositol, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, vitamin A oil, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, niacin, menadione sodium bisulfate complex (source of vitamin K), folic acid, vitamin D3 supplement, biotin, disodium phosphate, ferrous sulfate, magnesium sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, cobalt sulfate, calcium iodateGUARANTEED ANALYSISCrude Protein - 33%Crude Fat - 4.0%Crude Fiber - 3.0%Moisture - Max 10%Crude Ash - Max 17%Phosphorus - Min 0.8%
