Asepso Original Antiseptic Soap 80g UK (3 Bars)

As a child growing up in Asia this was the soap we got scrubbed with , it’s an extremely effective antiseptic and anti- fungal soap. As a teenager never had a pimple, soon as I came home to U.K. we couldn’t get hold of it in the shops but I was 16 then and much more attracted to the lovely scented soaps , shampoos and all those things I hadn’t seen before. My eczema came back within weeks , I started to get my first pimples and there’s a lot to be said about more old fashioned soap formulas. The smell of this soap isn’t great it’s an antiseptic soap , so there’s an antiseptic smell but I wouldn’t say it’s disgusting , just smells clean and once you’re washed and dried you don’t smell like antiseptic nor does it but stay with you all day and i haven’t found it interferes with my perfume or talcum powder .

I have been using Asepso antiseptic soap for a while now and it really works for keeping my skin clean and fresh. The scent is clean without being harsh and it lathers nicely. It rinses off well and leaves my skin feeling smooth rather than dry. These bars helped reduce any irritation when I had minor skin troubles. I like having the three-pack so I can keep one in the bathroom, one by the sink, and one in my gym bag. Overall I am happy with this soap for everyday use. It feels effective and gentle at the same time and gives me confidence that I’m staying hygienic.

Great soap for prickly heat in the summer on holiday. The smell might not be for everyone, but I like the clinical smell of it. Makes skin feel clean and great at removing deep suncream in pores. Recommended to me by a doctor for prickly heat and it definitely worked.

Medicated soap with a chemical, not natural, antiseptic ingredient. The colour is such a deep green, it literally comes off on your skin when you lather, so if you’re allergic to colouring then this is not the soap for you. I found it very efficient at removing oils, literally leaves skin ‘squeaky’ clean and it’s particularly good at removing under arm sweat and odour. Would be good for medicating men’s beards too but the lather is a bit thin for shaving. The only thing I don’t like is the weird pooey smell, which is very unpleasant in my opinion. It certainly doesn’t smell fresh or even medicated which is a disappointment. The 80 gram bar is very small and consistency is quite soft and it goes a bit gooey in water. I suspect it won’t last very long. These are reasons why I dropped a few stars. I had to buy a minimum of 3 bars which is annoying but thought I was getting quality as the box states it’s European made in Switzerland. However, I doubt if I’d buy it again, there are fresher more naturally medicated soaps out there that I prefer over this one.

Perfect on my skin

This is the best soap you can buy for any kind of expedition where your going to need good personal admin. Used it in the jungle to prevent and ease prickly heat and on many occasions to treat equipment sores and keep feet in good condition….. great product

Works ok as a soap, however, I remember buying asepso soap many years back and it had a slight burning, antiseptic sensation which is not present in this soap and is the primary reason I purchased in the first place. I don’t think I would repurchase.
