CalphalonContemporary Nonstick 12-Inch Omelette Pan

The first pan arrived damaged, it was replaced VERY quickly, the next time it was perfect! Good price for a great frying pan.

I ordered one of these pans before Christmas and it arrived with a loose handle and chips on the edges so I returned it. I reordered another just recently and while it arrived in better condition, there were still some imperfections. However not enough to returned it. I have had these exact pan previously for over 20 years and is why I wanted another. I'd be curious to know if these are "seconds" that are being sold. It would explain the imperfections and low price.

As in other reviews, my “new” pan showed with a series of small gouges on the lip. Additionally, I know occasionally Amazon skips on the packaging, mine showed up wrapped in a plastic bag tossed in a box. No box or any official packaging of any kind. As far as the pan goes, rock solid, great handle, feels great, I’m keeping it. It’s just in other reviews, this was obviously part of a set, or just there way of selling damaged products.

This pan is very thick and heavy. Exactly what I needed

Although it takes a bit longer to "heat up", when it does, Voila! It's remarkable. Love using it almost daily. Easy as 1-2-3 to wash & dry. I'm over the moon on having this in my pots & pan cupboard.

Like knowing it’s quality.

There’s no disputing the quality of Caphalon pans, but in this instance, I wonder if they are selling us flawed Caphalon products that can’t be delivered to stores, where people can inspect the item in person before buying. I bought an 8-inch Caphalon pan and on receipt, noticed damage to the rim and some foreign material stuck to the cooking surface of the pan. A fluke, I figured. I requested a replacement and it was sent immediately. When I opened it, I discovered this one, too, had damage to the rim. Since the cooking surface seemed to be okay (one little uneven spot in the finish), I decided to keep it but wanted to share my experience with other prospective buyers. The photo is of the one I’m keeping.

Have bought this item before and got years of use.They changed the style of the handle to be of split design and it lets the heat from the burners come through. This can be uncomfortable at times.Other than that it is still an excellent frying pan.

This is the best fry pan ever.
