I've been using RAM mounts for years. Car, boat, Motorcycle, mountain bike. Top quality and function. The RAM system is extensive and adaptable to all kinds of equipment.This phone holder is adjustable so the fit is perfect.

I custom mounted this onto the dash of my racecar, so that I can see my gps and play music easier. I looked at every phone mount imaginable, and I felt like most of them would have failed to hold my phone. Magnets, rubber thingys, bendable mounts that require adjustment everytime you put the phone in, all of these were a NO from me. This thing is rock solid. I like how you can adjust the little legs on the sides to the size of your phone, and lock it them place so your phone can't wiggle side to side. I have it mounted so firmly that I can slide my phone in one handed, despite the spring loaded grabber on this thing being incredibly springy. I have collected some other RAM mounts now for other uses, I like them that much. My car isn't a comfortable or smooth ride, and this mount refuses to let go of my phone, its great!

Bought the Quick-Grip for an S20 FE. I also have an X-Grip, bought a couple of years ago for another phone. I find the Quick-Grip far more secure for car or bike installation, and the X-Grip better for holding my phone on my desk, for example when making video calls, reading instructions when I needed both hands, etc. I reviewed the comments in depth before buying the Quick-Grip, and I'll address what I found myself now that I have one. Material and assembly: This is not cheap construction. I have been using Ram mounts for GPS units for years and none have broken or given me trouble. The materials are strong, and if you are breaking it during assembly or use, you are using too much force. Mine came with multiple length screws for assembly, so you will be able to adjust for your situation. I used the medium length screws so that the jam nuts were secure but the screws did not extend beyond the back of the case when assembled, for the ball and the side arms. Assembly was intuitive. Some may want more explicit instructions, but the pictogram instructions where more than enough for this simple product. Usefulness: The Quick-Grip is definitely more secure than an X-Grip in any vibration environment. The spring is quite strong, but I have no problem installing or removing the phone with one hand. Hook your index finger on a side support arm then press up and out on the bottom/center of the phone with your thumb. You do have to be careful or you might drop the phone when the bottom pops out of the case, but it's a learning experience and easy to do once you get the hang of it. Because the side arms have multiple slots you can choose for assembly, I have access to all screen functions, fingerprint sensor, side buttons and the charging port. The camera still works with one exception. Because of the multiple camera lenses, at 1X or greater, the camera works fine. At 0.5X (zooming out), there is a slight dark area at one edge of the image because of the wide angle view. Not an issue for me. My phone is mounted for ease of access to the phone functions, maps, navigation, etc, and not for photography. The X-Grip would be my choice if I wanted a mount just for photography. My older phone with a different camera layout works fine in the Quick-Grip. I think there was a review where someone had modified the Quick-Gripfor their needs. I don't see why this can't be done without compromising the integrity if that's what you want to do. I'm happy with it as is. Overall, the Quick-Grip is a great holder.

One of the best mounts for my phone I’ve ever used…and I’ve gone through a lot. First - I’m not a super fan of the look of the RAM products. However, I always lean more towards the functional side. And the RAM products are always fantastic. Second - Apart from the very “plasticky” and creepy looking form factor, the mount is very sturdy. I had the standard “X” version and I didn’t like that because I always had to use 2 hands. The Quick Grip is not great but it’s better in multiple ways compared to the standard “X” mount. I can use one hand and push up at the top and place my phone in a preset, perfect fitting mount. PROS: Biggest pro, is the ability to adjust and fine tune the width of your phone/device. The prongs/rails, that are on the sides stick out towards you about 1/2” so they work very well for my phone that has the Ninja wallet (with 4 cards) behind it - this increases the thickness of my phone compared to other people who just has a case. But it fits my phone very well. If you also use Ninja wallets, this mount will work well for you. If you don’t know about Ninja wallets, do a search for it on Amazon. It’ll change your change your way of life…changing it from excessive-compelled to minimal-intentional. Another pro (for me) is that RAM knows their 2 whee audience. They provide me with a handlebar mount I can use on my sports cruiser. I already trust their build quality and longevity. It makes sense to get more RAM products. CONS: The biggest con, is the looks. It’s not pretty. I guess it might be a pro, that it’s so ugly, others might not steal it?? If I had a wishlist, I would ask RAM to invest in some security options, especially for motorcycles. I currently zip tie my Quick Grip phone mount when I ride and park so it may deter a thief while my bike is exposed. It would be great is RAM came up with a simple mechanical latch or additional security means for motorcyclists. I would pay for that if someone came up with that so I didn’t have to remove my RAM mount every time I was worried that someone would steal it from my motorcycle.

This cell holder is so handy, holds all of our phones securely on our offroad vehicles better than perfectly so we can follow our maps. Easy to setup and robust. Worth every penny.
