Emmaculately brand new. Useful toolset for me.
After having collected a few used SAKs over the years, cleaning them thoroughly, polished and oiled them and brought them back to life, I can certainly appreciate this brand new, clean and unused Deluxe Tinker out of the box.The stamped metal layers are more polished along their edges and much smoother on the back than older models in my collection. They are already oiled and took some getting used to that I literally had nothing to do in order to maintain this condition.Anyone looking for a four layer Victorinox 91mm knife likely won't be disappointed with this model in terms of quality and finish. This knife has a rounded phillips which is more aesthetically pleasing to me than a corkscrew. I understand you can add extra tools or utility to a corkscrew, but the phillips feels more ergonomic and self-contained. I also do not drink wine everyday to even need one in the first place. I have taken apart various things having phillips more times than uncorking a bottle of wine.Pliers in a four layer knife is a big draw here, since there is only a limited number of current models with four layers or less that have this very tool. They are like super tweezers and tools for electronics such as mini hands for soldering 20 to 24awg wires. This is one of the more compact (4 layers or less) minimal SAKs with this. (One of the other slimmer models with pliers is more geared towards fishing.)So, pocket pliers and rounded phillips in a smallish SAK are the two compelling reasons for me. Scissors are just in case. And the greater majority of SAKs always have the two blades and two openers that it doesn't really differentiate this model from any other. It's the middle tools and back tools that one should consider when thinking of what model to get that fits them.

High Quality Swiss Army Knife, No Wood Saw or File
I bought this Victorinox Tinker to replace the Wenger Handyman that I carried in my left pocket for a couple of decades before losing it to a TSA checkpoint after I forgot that I was carrying it. I usually leave my pocket knife home before heading out for a flight, but I forgot one time. The perfect Swiss Army Knife is a subjective choice based on one's individual needs and daily routine. I have grown to like my Wenger Handyman and the main tools that I used were the main blade, the scissors, the wood saw, the screwdrivers and the file. The main blade came in handy for opening packages and for opening watch backs. The scissors came in handy almost daily and the wood saw was handy for everything from yardwork to basic repairs. The flathead and Philips drivers were handy for any screws that needed to be turned. The file was handy for fingernail maintenance or for sharpening other knives or yard tools. Wenger is now owned by Victorinox so I tried to find the knife that most closely matched my old Handyman. After some research, I settled on this Tinker. The Tinker is very high quality and has almost the same tools with the addition of pliers and a utility hook. However the Tinker has no wood saw and no file. I consider the lack of a saw and file to be too much of a detriment for my use case. In spite of the high quality of this knife, I decided to go with the Victorinox Swiss Champ so I will have all the tools that I might need from day to day.If I'm going to replace my Wenger Handyman, I might as well upgrade it and get more tools in a slightly larger package. The Tinker is a great knife for those who will mainly use the tools available on it. One drawback is that some of the tools were more difficult to deploy than I expected.

One of the best all around tools
I’m a fan of SAK’s. This one is my new favorite. The addition the mini pliers are awesome. It does add to the thickness but the weight is still manageable. You know it’s in your pocket but not in a bad way. The tool selection is great. Scissors as always are awesome. The pliers I have used quite a bit at work while fixing sewing machines and other small machines. It saves me from having to go back to the shop to get another tool many times. An inline Phillips would be nice but the one it has works well enough for my uses.

Perfection in Your Pocket!
This has an excellent tool-set and the pliers are surprisingly useful and of high quality. The small blade is perfect for scraping a bowl and the scissors easily cut up a pre-roll to put in that bowl. All in all, this little gem packs a lot of tools into a small footprint and the quality is high, very very high.
