Wild for You: Hot Jocks, Book 6

I’ve loved these books but…
I have loved these books as well as many others by this author, but this one had some serious errors. There were at least three distinct differences from previous books that were disconcerting in this one. I almost began to wonder if someone else wrote this book other than Kendall Ryan. To cite one difference, Grant in a previous book had a sister who married a fellow hockey player. In this book he is an only child and had been adopted. The first four books were very good. The last couple not as good. I won’t be buying book 7.

Hero gets a 5 star, the shallow female a one
First things first, Grant is awesome and Ana does not deserve him. He is the epitome of every man who you wish existed but really doesn’t. He is kind, thoughtful, patient to the point you want to tell him to issue an ultimatum, and so very caring. Ana, on the other hand, is a selfish, shallow, self-centered, childish woman to the very end. Why he wants her other than for her looks, which is shallow of him, is beyond anything I could figure out. The only person you want to be happy at the end of this book is Grant, and of course the innocent baby. So if you decide to check out this one, do it knowing there is utterly nothing redeeming about Ana. I have read all the books in this series and do not remember the other heroines being this shallow. Ana is not a heroine, she is just the lucky one for whom a great guy falls for for no discernible reason.

Family Of Your Own
The elusive hockey captain you’ve been wondering about finally gets his story and you will LOVE HIM!The totally hot, quiet, older and wiser hockey team captain finally found his reason to smile. Ana is going to give him everything he’s ever dreamed of having.Ana is stuck in an abusive relationship until the day she’s had enough and finally walks away. With no family close by and an ex who is trying to find her, Grant gives her a safe place to stay. It’s only supposed to be temporary until Ana gets on her feet. They quickly fall into a domestic routine and become friends. Grant is the kindness she’s always desired but never knew existed. He’s a big, intimidating guy but a total teddy bear when it comes to her. It’s easy to fall in love with him.Grant and Ana have chemistry and share an intense connection. Physical intimacy was inevitable, but Ana is not looking for a relationship. She wants to make sure she can stand on her own before she ventures into anything new. If only her plan was that easy. An unexpected surprise changes everything. She wants to be independent while he wants her to be his everything.Ana is strong and resilient. A young woman who wants to do better and be capable of standing on her own. Grant has a bit of a hero complex. He loves caring for others and fixing their problems. He’ll have to learn balance between being supportive and letting Ana take the lead.I have enjoyed every book in this series. Each couple brings the heat and a whole lot of love. This is a one sitting read that will leave you smiling with a happy heart. There are some surprise moments, interlaced with some drama that will keep you reading until the last page. A great couple that deals with relevant issues and finds their HEA.Love often comes from the family of your own making. The people who support you unconditionally and love all of you. Grant and Ana wouldn’t want it any other way.

Another winner!
Another fabulous book in the Hot Jocks series. I seriously fall for a new book boyfriend with every book in this series. It is too hard to choose a favorite. And Grant did not disappoint. Grant was the quiet loner of the team yet he watched out for everyone. And when he saw a teammate of his treating his girlfriend poorly Grant intervened and offered Ana a ride home. Not thinking he would hear from her again Grant was surprised to get a call to help out Ana. Ana has no where to go and Grant offered up his spare room for her to stay while she figured out what to do.Grant had found himself attracted to Ana since he first met her but kept the attraction to himself since she was in a relationship. Ana never looked twice at another guy since she was with her boyfriend but she could admit to herself that Grant was a really, really good looking guy. I really liked that Ana didn’t want to jump into a relationship with Grant right away because she wanted to prove to herself that she could be independent. She told him they could be friends because that is all she could do right now. Grant never really hid his feeling for Ana and he found it hard to realize that they may not have a future or at least the future that he wanted. Grant was a fabulous “non” boyfriend to Ana and it was exactly what she needed. She needed to realize that she could be independent and yet still also have what her heart wanted- Grant. Ana and Grant were a wonderful couple and I am so happy that the guy who was a loner got the girl that made him happy.Of course we got to see the rest of the team- Justin, Teddy, Owen and Jordie. Plus some of the wives- Becca, Elise, Sara and Bailey. I am super excited for Jordie’s book next and can’t wait for his happy ending. This is a fabulous series and I have loved every single book, so hard to pick a favorite!

I am mad at this book!!!
Nothing wrong with it per se but it was way too heavy and angsty for me. Grant was so amazing. The title was very misleading. Uugh

Great Hero
There were things about this book that I loved, but a few things that I definitely didn’t. Without giving away any key plot points, I can say that Grant is a fabulous character. He is gruff and growly but, despite initial appearances, he has a heart of gold. Grant is definitely the type of man a woman would want by her side when things get tough. Full points on this character.I liked Ana but, despite her reasons (which are explained), it bothered me a little how she jumped from one man’s bed into another’s so quickly. To each our own, but I didn’t like that. Due to the way the story progresses, this constantly bothered me a little. As for the ending... Grant came away seeming even more fantastic and endearing, but it just didn’t fit my ideal version of HEA.This book is good. I simply wouldn’t necessarily expect it to be your favourite in the series. This review is a little ambiguous, I know, but I really didn’t want to put in any spoilers.

Grant and Ana
I really enjoyed the way Grant and Ana’s relationship developed and how well they worked together. Grant was so patient and I like that Ana took her time before jumping right into a relationship. Seeing them together as a family was really cute too. Another great read!

When Your Ready
Grant our millionaire hero, is captain of the Ice Hawks hockey team and taking his responsibilities seriously he offers to take Ana the girlfriend of a team mate home. He does this after seeing her in distress at the teams preseason banquet. He had witnessed her boyfriend being an obnoxious drunk, before he leaves and abandons her.Unfortunately, Ana our petty petite heroine, is a victim of domestic abuse. And Grant has to come to her rescue again, when she is physically abused by her boyfriend. And it becomes clear that it has happened repeatedly. Then wanting her to be safe, he selflessly lets her stay in his fabulous penthouse. He says she can stay as long as she wants. But does she? And what happens to her abusive hockey boyfriend when she leaves him?Ana is attracted to Grant and there is electrically between them. Yet she pushes intimate thoughts of him away because she is not ready for a new relationship. And she is most keen to show her independence and get her own apartment.Interestingly, Grant always had secret feelings for Ana from the moment he first saw her but chose to do nothing as she was with her boyfriend. Will he now be ready to convey them to her. Will she ever be ready to express her real feelings? Well, I suggest you get this easy to read book and find out.
