Gets the Job Done
I’ve been using ScotchBlue Original Multi-Surface Painter’s Tape for various painting projects, and it has consistently delivered excellent results! This tape is incredibly versatile, adhering well to a variety of surfaces including walls, trim, baseboards, tile, and glass1. The medium adhesive ensures a secure hold without damaging the surfaces when removed. One of the standout features is its clean removal. The tape can stay on surfaces for up to 14 days and still come off easily without leaving any sticky residue behind2. This makes it perfect for both short-term and long-term projects. The tape is also UV-resistant, which means it can be used for outdoor projects without worrying about it deteriorating under sunlight2. The bright blue color is easy to see, ensuring precise application and straight paint lines. However, I did notice that if not applied firmly, there can be some minor paint bleed-through. This is a small drawback, but it can be avoided with careful application. Overall, I highly recommend ScotchBlue Original Multi-Surface Painter’s Tape for its reliability and ease of use. It’s a must-have for any DIY painter or professional looking for a high-quality painter’s tape!

Blue Tape is Great
I would highly recommend using this painter’s tape for projects around the home. It honestly made repainting my bedroom so much faster and stress-free because it was easy to tape around the trims and on the ceiling in order to paint faster and avoid making a mess on anything white. I had also decided to do an accent wall, so once the others were dry, I was able to get the wall done with near perfect edges. If you tape in long strips, then peeling it off becomes a breeze. I always take it off when the paint hasn't completely dried and I peel it off slowly instead of ripping it off (otherwise it comes off in pieces). I’ve always used this blue tape in home redecorating projects because I know it works and just would rather stick with what I know. I’ve also used this tape for things like labeling cleaning supplies (it’s easier to write on than duct tape and you don’t have to worry about it being smeared off) and various art projects (though if you are using it on paper it can be a little trickier to peel off). There are also a bunch of cool diy projects that I'm considering trying with this tape. Overall, I have found that it just works really well for me.

Best tape for certain uses.
I love this stuff. I also buy the 1" version and use both for labeling things around the house, including refrigerated and frozen food - for their "best-buy" date. Same for canned goods stored in the pantry. Much easier to see than the dates printed on the packages. The tape sticks pretty well to most material and comes off without leaving a film, even months later on glass, where I use it to hold up sticky fly paper. Of course it's really good for painting chores too. In comparison, the Stikk brand green tape is much harder to work with. You get what you pay for with the Scotch Blue.

Good general purpose painter's tape
It's a good product for the correct use. It has enough adhesion to hold in place, and yet not damage the surface. That said, don't leave it on for days/weeks/etc. Then you will have the opposite problem. It'll be hard to remove. As for bleed through, I find it satisfactory. So long as you paint away from the tape (in an on the tape>off the tape motion) or use a dry brush stipple technique, it's fine. But if you are looking for more "free range" painting, there are product better designed for that that will result in a razor edge. All in all, it is a good general purpose painter's tape. Have used it before, will use it again.

Blue tape works for so many things
This is the usual high quality for this excellent 3M painters' tape. Different widths are helpful--different width stripes, for example, or narrow versus wide mouldings or crevices that need masking. Mostly I use the 1-inch tape (which is really 0.94 inches wide). Sometimes this narrower tape is perfect. I prefer this blue tape over the original tan masking tape because blue tape allows less bleed through and releases more easily, even long after it should have been removed. It is less expensive than the premium, green masking tape--which also works great, if the cost balances out. Blue tape has so many uses besides the obvious original purpose. ** I tear short pieces and mark them with a Sharpie before putting leftover containers in the refrigerator. They are surprisingly tenacious. Some have stayed put through more than a dozen trips through the dishwasher. Blue tape is also super for ownership markings on plates, dishes and containers that take a field trip elsewhere and need to come back home. **Most of my tools have blue tape on them somewhere. It lasts a long time. If I see someone with a tool that looks like mine AND it has blue tape on it, well, there's no question about ownership. ** Lots of measuring jobs need blue tape. Locating studs so you can hang something up? Blue tape is your chalkboard. ** Recently I was installing window wells along a foundation. The concrete was damp so Sharpies were uselessly transparent. Didn't have chalk. Blue tape stuck well enough, even on the damp concrete, to get the window wells lined up horizontally and vertically, ready for back-filling to hold them in place. ** Sacrificial cord wrap. A few wraps will hold most coiled cords together. The wrap easily rips when it's time to stretch out the cord. I could tell dozens of blue tape stories, but you probably have your own. Great stuff.

Scotch Blue Painter's Tape is the best!
This is great Blue Painter's tape. I use it for so many things in addition to painting. It doesn't leave a residue or take paint off the underlying surface.
