I love this cookbook. Besides all of the different apple recipes, it also gives a lot of information about apples. 5 stars!

Checked this book out at the library and loved it so much, I had to buy a copy. Love the irecipes.

Any recipe or book by Olwen Woodier is a treasure. I can not recommend this highly enough.....it deserves at least 10 stars.

A bit of history, some profiles of orchard owners and such a variety of recipes that everyone will find a few "good ones". You even get a little information on several varieties of apples. More of an actual apple recipe book, some recipes have Apple juice, cider or hard cider as ingredients but most use the apple itself. I think 2 or 3 different varieties are usually listed as suitable for the recipe itself.…maybe you can find one of them locally (the book isn't much help on that). If you have some familiarity with an oven and the other items used just about anyone should be capable of making à recipe. You'll find several here that you like.

I sent this book as a gift because I have one myself and love it. I like that it has a variety of recipes for desserts, main dishes, appetizers, beverages, etc., as well as information about apples, how to buy and store them, characteristics of different varies and more. On my recommendation the recipients tried a recipe for apple tea bread and loved it as much as I did.

Everything you'd like to know about apples you will find in this book. Thorough research about the fruit, history, varieties, differences. The book offers multiple recipes for every aspect how apple can be cooked- deserts and savory dishes; how can be stored - preserved, dehydrated...exceptional work of love for the fruit.

Very interesting read

I tried a lot of the recipes in this cookbook and found most of them to be bland-tasting and non exciting in appearance. One was even awful tasting: the apple-zucchini soup! There was one surprising result. The black bean soup was excellent and I've added to my tried and true recipe book.

Excellent recipes and good information

A very well illustrated book, and informative. Full of ideas for all those surplus apples. Would recommend it.

Lovely book full of great recipes. However the book is American so measurements need to be looked up, as do some ingredients.
