Compact, Accurate, and Great for Light Precision Work
Compact, Accurate, and Great for Light Precision Work This Amazon Basics 1/4-inch drive torque wrench turned out to be one of those simple tools that really delivers. I bought it for small torque jobs—things like tightening valve cover bolts, spark plugs, and light-duty fasteners on bikes and small engines—and it’s performed with precision and ease. The build feels solid, made of polished chrome vanadium steel that gives a professional, durable impression. The click is clear and consistent, even at lower inch-pound settings, and the adjustment ring locks firmly so settings don’t drift during use. The etched scale is a bit small, but still readable under good light, and the included storage case is sturdy enough to protect calibration between uses. For a tool at this price point, I was surprised by how refined it feels. It doesn’t have a calibration certificate like higher-end brands, but real-world use suggests it’s well within its stated accuracy. The smooth ratchet and compact size make it especially good for tight spots—like under dashboards or in small engine bays. Bottom line: A dependable, well-made torque wrench ideal for small mechanical work, offering excellent accuracy and value for the money.

Sturdy wrench, easy to use, bonus case for long term storage
This appears to be a solid torque wrench, with a nice case to store it in between my very rare uses, and the price was excellent for what I got. I've gone 60 years without really needing a torque wrench, but decided to install a trailer hitch on my own to save $200 and figured securing the bolts to specs was pretty important and for about $25 I could have some peace of mind. To adjust to the desired torque, you loosen up the bottom bolt and then turn the lower part of the handle. There are etched marks along the handle to show where it's set in intervals of 5/10 ft lbs, and marks around the lower handle for finer settings. It also shows newton meters if that's your thing. The size and weight are equivalent to a large ratchet wrench and it feels well made. I needed to hit about 50 ft lbs which was my limit for vertical bolts while laying on my back, but you can set is up to 80. When you're torqued to the proper setting, the clutch mechanism will slip a little and you'll hear a click. Very easy to use and as long as you set the number right and torque until it clicks you can't go wrong. I got the 3/8" model since that's what most of my sockets fit. Some of my extensions seems loose on the wrench so it was a little awkward to use, but it's no worse of a fit than my regular wrenches and only stands out because I'm putting so much force on it. The storage case seems excessive, but I don't expect to be using this very often, so hopefully it'll keep things from rusting. This saved me a bunch of money and was very satisfying to finally hear the "click" and know I'm done.

Good for the price but not great
I was a bit paranoid that it was not calibrated correctly. I tested and confirmed that it was calibrated correctly. I used it briefly and it worked as expected. As some others have noted, the handle can get stuck requiring extra effort to rotate it. I'm concerned that it would not last. In the end, I decided to return it and get a similar one for $10 less at another store.

You will NOT be disappointed!
Awesome tool for the price! Wow. It’s well made and the torque markings are separate and clear. I had a cheap Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Tool one and this is 10x better quality for just a few more bucks.

Great for price
Used a few times now. Works just fine compared to others I’ve used. Less expensive is always nice.

Lacking quality
I wish I didn't buy this. I used this when replacing my rear shocks. When trying to torque the nuts down I set the torque but never got a click so I kept turning. It led to one of the studs being broken and as a result caused me a couple hundred dollars to get it fixed. I was a bit overconfident on relying on this wrench since I figured it was an Amazon Basics product. Reading other reviews (which I should have done first) I see others complaining about the clickability or lack of clicking. Let this be a warning to others to not rely on Amazon's name and the quality of their products. Wrench already returned.

seems well built and works well
I've used this a couple times on wheel bearings and cylinder head bolts. i needed a torque wrench that went to 175 foot pounds and this delivered. Nice thing about this wrench is the torque readings are etched into the handle, so they're pretty permanent. I'm mentioning this because some torque wrenches have stickers with the torque measurements.

La qualité perçue ne semble pas optimale mais, pour un usage occasionnel, cette clé devrait faire le job...à voir sur la durée...

Secondary scale is only for ft-lb! In order to know the exact Nm value you need to look it up in the manual! For example when you want 140Nm, you need to set the primary scale to 135.6Nm and turn the secondary scale to a bit over 3. 3ft-lb is around 4Nm so then it adds up (135.6Nm + ~4Nm = 140Nm). It would be better if the secondary scale also would have Nm marking.
