Starter bow
Great starter bow for my soon to be 7 year old daughter. She doesn't have any issues with drawing it. I highly recommend this product especially at this price point.

Great.
I bought this for a 10-year-old the only way his mom let me was to buy the pink one LOL. Yeah it’s a compound bow and it looks scary but it really is made for a kid. A. 10-year-old has no problem pulling back of string and I think he wishes he had something even more powerful but it’s great. It’s definitely something to be treated with respect but I don’t think it’s any more dangerous than a traditional bow and arrow. Really the compound mechanism just makes it easier to aim without hurting your muscles so if you wanna get strong get a regular bow.

Greeeaaat Starter Bow set!
First off I'd like to say these are not toys! You can absolutely kill someone or animals with this set. These bows are the real deal. Super sturdy and well made. The directions don't say much about the day to day use of the bow. It talks about maintenance but nothing about not dry firing a compound bow, proper etiquette when retrieving arrows from the target etc etc. Other than that I would recommend these bows to anyone that wants to get their kids outside and involved in this sport for fun or hunting down the road. I was able to adjust them to shot pretty accurate. Quick safety brief and my kids where able to get arrows on target. We shot from about 15ft initially to get the mechanics down. After that we moved back and there were some hilarious misses and some bullseyes! I got a set of these for my son 9 and daughter 8. They are awesome because they have enough lbs to shoot accurate from distance, but can be adjusted for kids that can't draw the bow. My kids have always been into sports and gymnastics so they are stronger than their peers so they didn't have issues drawing the bow but I can see most kids their age not being able to draw the bow without adjusting the lbs. I think the bows a little small. My kids aren't extra tall or have extra long arms or anything but they aren't able to fully open up their chest when they draw and stand completely sideways. That's ok because I got them just so we can have some fun out doors (and prepare for the zombie apocalypse).

Perfect for my 8 year old daughter at 15 pound draw weight
I’m am big into archery and purchased this bow to get my 8 year old daughter into it also. This bow is perfect for her. Turned it down to 15 pounds and took it to bass pro to have nocks added. The nocks keep the finger savers in place and must be it the right location at all times. Bass pro did this for free and also verified the drawn weight by putting it on their scale. It was not easy for her to pull back at first, but she is slowly developing the necessary muscles. First day she shot 4 arrows and got tired. Next couple days about 10 arrows. She’s now up to about 20 arrows after one week of practice and consistently hitting the target. She isn’t using the sight. I’m preparing her for bowfishing which typically doesn’t use sights. I believe it’s called instinct shooting. I would highly recommend this bow!

Okay, but didn't last long
Got it for our 6 year old son. He started archery lessons this year. At first, he loved the bow. The arrows it came with were garbage, cheaply made, bent up fletching, broke easily. The bow itself was a good weight for him to start with, but he outgrew it in just a few months. A few weeks ago the pully broke during his lesson. He wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary or wrong. It just broke in normal use. He hasn't even had it for a year yet. We're very disappointed in the quality, but I guess it was fun while it lasted. My recommendation would be to go for a more sturdy bow, unless you're looking for something that will only last a short time.

Falsely Advertised. This bow is not adjustable and is barely a toy.
Do not buy this bow. I have bought many bows, and we run a farm camp for children. This is by far the worst bow we have. It falsely advertises pound variability/adjustability with pull. This is false. They misrepresent their product. Sad because Bear has a reputation to keep. Well, not so much anymore. This is another Chinese manufactured toy marketed as an entry level bow for children with adjustability like the Genesis Bow. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this "bow".

Really great bow for a small kid with really short arms
My son is 5’ tall and with his forward arm fully extended, he couldn’t pull the bowstring even with his forward shoulder much less to his cheek. It was a really nice bow and I was sad to have to return it. This is for little kids.

Great
We bought two of these for our Boys, The 10 year old has no problem drawing the bow however he preferred I let the pull off to about 20 lbs. The 8 year old has a little trouble drawing at 15 lbs but is getting better at it. The build quality is Good, what you would expect from Bear. They are a little on the heavy side. These bows come with two 26" arrows you may want to pick up extras. I ordered 28" fiberglass practice arrows and they work fine. There is no way to weave a sight into the string because it is coated, I wound some thread around the string instead. For a children's bow this thing has some power. Definitely not a toy that you turn your kid loose with without a little instruction and at least minimal supervision.
