Amul 99% cacao Chocolate 125g pack of 2

I ordered this product as i had to try it once. This is not at all sweet and extremly bitter. Quality wise no complaints. Chocolate is more suitable for health concious people due to no added sugar.

Yeah I saw the 99% cocoa written in big bold letters, read the reviews saying that it's bitter, but STILL bought it because I was stupid enough to think that I can tolerate it. Well, I just couldn't. It was like intentionally torturing yourself. I thought if I kept it in the mouth long enough, the cocoa butter would melt, and make things better. But it was bitter through and through and through!Well, I didn't just want to throw away the whole thing, so I thought of an idea. Heated up some water in a small vessel and added this chocolate in it piece by piece. Then I added around 3 tbsp of coconut sugar to it and mixed it all together. That's only around 37 to 40 g of sugar for the whole thing, which I'll be consuming over several days. Plus coconut sugar has low glycemic index anyway. Well, it turned out better than I expected. It honestly tasted pretty good. Still was a little bitter but this is dark chocolate after all.I think I'm going to make this a regular thing! I know I could just buy 70% dark chocolate which has sugar added, but there was around 60g refined sugar with 190g chocolate making a total of 250g. Here it's 250g chocolate + 40g sugar and we can control what kind of sugar we add.

I had switched to 99% Amul cacao since it's launch, but in between the quality goes really bad, it's due to tempering issue. I had even asked a friend of mine who is vendor to Amul, Anand to visit and talk to them about tempering but they were not ready to listen, instead kept saying the white color due to melting and hardening and temperature difference is not to be worried, which I know. So now getting a good pack has become like a lottery, last time despite peak of summer although melted was good, but this time it's pathetic. Hope they focus on maintaining consistency and not just consistent in increasing price ) , still a fan but this time really disappointed.

I was a little concerned about buying dark chocolate from Amul, but as it goes with other products, Amul never disappoints quality wise. Taste is great as well. Highly recommended for the price range. 100grams of 70 percent of Other brand Dark Chocolate costs the double of Amul.The packaging was great too.

The media could not be loaded. Packaging was good , chocolate box came inside a cooling pack , I put it in the refrigerator for some time as delivered time was 6 days .I often buy 70% bournville chocolate , 1st time tried this amul 99% for health benefits . There is no added sugar ..its ultra bitter in taste , couldn't even ate a single cube 😬 ..
