Q: How do you get the bolt out for step 2A in the user manual?

That bolt is on tight from the factory. It's not going anywhere. At first, you may have no idea if this is going to work at all. But there's one simple step. You don't need to buy a soft mallet. All you need to do is hold the rod firmly pointing the exposed side of the bolt. Aim and give it a quick and sturdy rap on the floor. The bolt will immediately release.

Q: Will this fit a 17 inch laptop well?

The platform measures 16.8 inches by 12.6 inches, so check the length and width of your laptop and make sure it’s less than 16.8 inches by 12.6 inches (I’m presuming 17 inches is the diagonal length on the screen, so the width of the laptop would be smaller).

Q: Is there a contact for the manufacturer? One of the screws used for tightening the adjustable stand has worn out, and I would love to get another
