Immediately improved the reception quality of my Retevis RT3S vs. stock antenna. Stock antenna would also capture a lot of noise on weak signals and sounded snorty. This antenna seems to have gotten rid of the snorty and improved general reception. It also has an improved look (picked up usually weak signals better) on a (RTL-SDR) software defined radio for 2m/70cm vs stock duckie and an N771 whip. I haven't got to test SWR, but using 1W and I made more contacts vs. stock at 5W. Plus you don't have to panic too much about bending it.

First time using and unscrewed it to find it had come in 2. Very poor build quality

I was able to reach the local fusion repeater from the inside of my apartment which I wasn't able to do with my other 2 meter HT. This antenna is very sturdy and capable of transmitting with out any warble or loss of signal. Just long enough to carry around in the back of your belt or side pocket without getting in the way. Very happy with the performance. Up date: SWR 1.7:1 on 2 meter and 2.3:1 on 440
