I am a professional fiber artist and this is my favorite cotton thread. It comes in a gazillion colors and is priced so you can buy all of them for your stash. I have no financial relationship with this company but just want to share my experience using their threads. I have used cotton thread from all the manufacturers and honestly, can tell you Essential Thread is the best.

I ordered this to use for needle point. It worked great. The colors are very pretty. The quality is a nice, sturdy one. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I've ordered all the colors and really like this thread. It's on par with DMC and better than Anchor. Great price and good colors

Thread is equivalent to a size 20 tatting/crochet cotton, with a 2 cord twist, hence not as strong as DMC Cebelia (3 cord). Takes well to tatting and able to add fabric stiffener with no problem. However when adding glue (such as E6000), the thread is not color fast and becomes saturated. 75yds spools are sufficient for tatting earrings, bracelets or small motifs. Nice color selection also. Worth a try.

Nice selection of pearl cotton thread. Exactly what I needed to finish my quilt project. Thread quality is very good. Order rec'd in less time than expected via USPS. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this seller again.

Not bad thread. Good colors. The twist is ok but have found some spools with some thick and thin places. This pearl cotton is cheaper than valdani but not as nice. It is fuzzy, sort of like wool thread. Good for projects like ornaments though.

I have always used regular 6-strand embroidery floss, but I tried perle cotton in a folk-art embroidery class and I am not going back to 6-strand floss! I looked at perle cotton at a couple of different stores, and this seems to be a really good price. This "sampler" pack is a good product for my needs because I use a lot of different colors--but not much of each at any one time. I imagine that some people would prefer fewer colors and bigger spools--but this is perfect for the kind of sewing I do. I have already used it for several different projects, and it sews very well.

Love all the pearl cotton threads for miniature amigurumi/crochet! I wish the 20pk & the larger pack were available more often. It would be great to see the color numbers listed in the descriptions of the different packs so I can make sure I get the right sets to match a project.

I was so disappointed with this thread. I've been crocheting for many years and primarily use sizes 8 & 12 Perle cotton so I thought I would give this thread a try. The thread is so loosely spun that it just splits and shreds with every other stitch, and I do mean SHREDS! I just threw in the towel. I will give them away to some kids to play with. They are likely fine for embroidery but I also found the colours to be very dull. Stick to DMC or another high quality thread.

Perfect for my craft projects, disappointed that most of the colors received are all very similar.
