World Buyers Set of 6 Vinyl PLACEMATS 18x12 L (Red)

In my past coffee-dyeing practices I've only tried impressing a pattern one before, with a different set of plastic place mats. It was a dismal failure. After watching a YouTube Video with a different technique, I decided to try again. As I couldn't find the first placemats (uh, I'm not a well-organized crafter in any circumstances, and I've moved within the last 8 months) so I purchased these to try.WOW. I was impressed with the results. Probably the placemats and the new technique were equal contributors to my success. Blank paper, envelopes, and book pages alike look beautiful with the transferred lace images. Now I think I may have to look for another set for a different pattern.Also, they are easy to clean, as they just wash off with plain water. I just dunk them in the sink and lay them out to dry. Good to go.

Very nice placemats at a good value. I ordered 2 sets but only recieved one in the initial shipment but upon contact with the supplier, they refunded my account for the second set and I reordered another set which arrived promptly. Very happy with them. They are being used for paper dying and give a very good design in coffee dyed paper, are easy to clean, and seem to be durable.

These are pretty and they do look like lace, except that they're shinier because they're vinyl. They are VERY thin (you can see they're paper thin in my picture), so if you got them because you thought they'd be sturdier for a toddler, like I did, you may be disappointed. They're also not as 'sky' blue as they look in pictures. They're a bit more teal, which actually works better for me. Overall, I'm happy with them.

Decent quality, very cute. They're thin and a bit fragile but that's how I wanted them so I'm definitely happy.

I don't plan to use this on my dining room table. I plan to use it to make textures in paint or as a stencil for gelli-plate printing. It has clear, lace-like gaps that should be good for gelli-printing. It's textured as if it were knit or crocheted lace. If you want to use it as a placemat, be aware that it won't prevent crumbs, food or moisture from getting on a table or tablecloth because it's quite open. It's a bright turquoisey blue and looks like it would be easy to wash off in a dish pan or with a hose.
