4.75" Vintage Push Down Glass Spinning Ashtray ~ Choose Your Own Color (Green)

I'm a veteran smoker and user of ashtrays. I have many. This one is fantastic! I've had these spinner type ashtrays before and I bought this one so I wouldn't have open trays of cigarette butts and ash out on my kitchen table. It works absolutely perfect. Has room enough that I can lay a lit cigarette down in it safely, plus, the angle is such that it slows down and even extinguishes the tobacco if I don't get back to it. A lot of ashtrays don't do that and I hate that! The spinning tray works perfect. It does not spill ash out of the device as one review says. The whole thing is surprisingly heavy - the glass is really thick! The aqua blue color is beautiful - uniform and intense - looks much better than the vendor photo of it and the photos of this color in reviews. The chromed spinner mechanism that sits on top of the glass (it locks in securely) is shiny and heavier duty than I expected. I wouldn't put it in a dishwasher or leave it outside given the metal parts in it. Listen, I know I'm not buying tiffany in an item like this, and the mechanical mechanism on these types will not last a lifetime if used as much as I use it. But at this price, this functions and looks so good that I just ordered another one for the TV room, in the green, which for some reason is 6 bucks cheaper than the aqua blue. But if you want the aqua blue get it because it is so pretty to look at.

Loved this so much I bought another for my friend - she loves it too! I was totally surprised by the weight and quality of this item. It will last a lifetime and beautiful enough to leave out in any decor. The spin top works perfectly unless you let the ashtray get too full. It holds approximately 40 butts before needing an emptying, and if you spin the top after each smoke, the top seals in the stale ashtray smell! It really tidies up the mess of a standard ashtray. UPDATE: I still love my ashtray, but the one I bought for my friend broke within a couple months. The top does not spin correctly and there doesn't seem to be a way to disassemble it to try to repair. I really is pretty but not very useful with a broken top. I wish there was some way to purchase a replacement lid :(.

This ashtray is SO cool! I bought this as a gift for my friend and it is such a conversation starter! Not only does it look great on the table, but it is functional as well! The spinning function is amazing, had it for a few weeks already and still hasn't gotten old! It contains the smoke smell well and fits A LOT of cigarettes in it! Overall a great purchase, would by 10 more if I had more smoker friends.

Awesome "retro-style" ashtray. I do not smoke, and have any guests that are at my house smoke outside. Prior to purchasing this ashtray, I used empty beer bottles. This really looks good, is sturdy, and works great. Just push the center plunger, with the ashes or cigarette butts placed on the chrome plate, and as it pushes down, the plate spins, sending the ashes and butts into the glass container. I bought two, and gave one as a gift. Also, if you have a high number of smokers using ashtray, it will need to be emptied rather frequently.

I love this thing! It's so retro-looking and best of all hides the ash and butts from view. I have taken so many cute pictures of my cats only to realize there is an overflowing ashtray in the shot--not pretty. You know there's always gonna be that one person on IG or FB who feels compelled to make a negative comment about smoking. Like it's any of their business. I haven't had any issues with the lid. Thinking about getting a couple more in different colors--the one I have is a deep aqua but I'd like to see the pink one. Edit 10/13/2016: After almost 2 years of use indoors the metal top has become dull and dirty-looking, even after washing. I can't say I am surprised, it's an ashtray after all. But also the spinning feature has malfunctioned somewhat and the top doesn't snap shut effectively anymore. So I bought another one (green) because it's still a great ashtray. Just thought you should know!

This is a very pretty way to disguise an ugly ashtray. The teal color is bright and hasn't faded. The metal tray itself has started to rust a bit which is disappointing, but not entirely surprising. You will need to empty it of rainwater if you use it outdoors.

Nice ashtray indoors. It's really very pretty, and the spinner works very easily and the butts dropped down and are not seen. Outdoors it doesn't work as well as it could if the spinners were set deeper so ashes would not blow away in the wind. To deal with that just use the spinner any time you use the ashtray. Caution it cannot be left outside for extended time, I had mine on a table in my screened, and covered lanai from mid November until April 4th.and it's ruined. The glass faded. The lowest rim of the glass is orange and the rest of the glass is amber. The stem and many areas of the spinner are rusted. This is in Florida and I have other glass decor outside that didn't fade. They really are so pretty and practical that I will buy another one for mainly indoor use.
