Q: Why does your package say 2 caps-day telling total lutein is 20 mg per serving of 2 caps? It's supposed to deliver 40 mg per serving.

2 capsules is considered 1 serving. 1 serving is 20mg Luetin. 2 servings (4 capsules) would provide 40mg of Luetin. Rather it's suppose to deliver 40mg or not, the label on the bottle is followed for any medication or supplement.

Q: Is there Beta-caratine in this product?

There is no Beta-caratine listed in the ingredients on the bottle. I would assume there is none.

Q: What is the ascorbic acid derived from? ( corn or beets?

I have no idea were they get the ascorbic acid from. Sorry wish I had that answer for you. It would be cool if it came from beets. I chose Health happiness Areds 2 because it has Lutein 40mg with Zeaxanthin, Astaxanthin 12mg. Most of the other brands don't have the Astaxanthin. As for the vitamin C (ascorbic acid). I really didn't think much about it because the body doesn't retain vitamin C. I hope my answer helped you in some way
