I can't exactly say why this comb is better than others. The teeth are close together (fine) and I have others that are similar but don't do as good a job. The comb itself is very sturdy and I expect the teeth will last a very long time. I would recommend this to others. How I review: When I review a product said product automatically starts with four stars as I rarely will purchase anything below four stars. I then add and/subtract stars based on certain criteria as listed below. 1. If an item is exactly what I expected and nothing more it will receive a four star rating 2. If an item surpasses my expectations it will gain a star (5 Stars) 3. If an item goes slightly below my expectations it will lose a star (3 Stars) 4. If the instructions for the product (if needed) are poorly written (hard to understand due to language issues or grammar) or just too hard to follow it will lose a star no matter if the product meets or exceed my expectations 5. If a product is significantly below my expectations I will deduct two stars 6. It will be rare that I would give a product one star since I buy mostly items that have a 4+ rating but in rare instances there may be a good reason that even a four star product gets a one star rating from me. It could be because of customer service issues from the company but whatever the case is I will clearly explain my reason for giving a product only one star

Anytime you find a product that you use every day that is so superior to what you had - it’s a joy to use. It glides through my fine hair which can tangle easily- the quality and design are superb. I believe it is because the tines are a bit shorter. The pointed end is perfect for parting if you style your hair in sections. It is perfect, not something you buy frequently but I just ordered a backup because I love it so much.

We’ve bought several Kent combs and like them all. They comb smoothly and feel nice in the hand. I like this one as the rat tail is not very pointed and good to use to decide hair. I took off one star because of the size. it’s smaller then the usual come like this. It’s like it’s made for small hands. I know the measurements are there.

These combs are well made, have the right number of teeth, and right shape that make them the ideal comb for most hair types and sensitivity. I won't buy any other comb from now on.

It sounds weird saying how much I like this comb … but it really is a terrific comb! This is the Kent comb I’ve had — not only is it attractive (tortoise shell instead of boring black) it’s also more earth-friendly than regular combs. I feel like my hair doesn’t tangle as much, either. Sure, it’s a bit more than a comb you’d find in a variety store, but I think it’s worth it. Besides, it’s “By Appointment to His Royal Majesty.” Fah-fah-fah-fah! NOTE: the Kent hairbrushes are also phenomenal! Best brush I’ve ever had!

This comb might sound a bit pricey, but somehow it does the job better than the plastic DS kind. I couldn't find the DS kind! So I thought I'd just go for this. Very happy with this comb -- it somehow does the parts cleaner than other combs I've used.

I didn't think I'd ever write a review for a comb…but here goes. The reason I'm writing the review is solely because it's a fabulous comb and it's a joy to use every day. There is zero static build up and the saw-cut teeth are absolutely perfect. The teeth are rounded and not sharp and perfectly spaced. The best thing about the comb is the heft and the thickness of it. It's sturdy and you can trust that the teeth won't wilt from heat, bend, or break on you. Simply a perfect comb.
