Best budget ultralight sleeping pad I've found so far
Update: I've gotten a few more nights out on this pad and I have to say that I am thoroughly satisfied by my purchase. I'm going to be switching from backpacking to bikepacking this year so I can bring my toddler along and I will be continuing to use the Shasta. Money well spent. I have recommended this pad to friends of mine.I've used thermarest pads and although they are likely the lightest option, they are extremely expensive. Another option is the Outdoors Lab pad which weighs in at 16oz and costs around 40 dollars. Klymit makes a decent budget friendly pad but, weighs in at about 18oz. The Shasta pad from Tillak weighs in at 13.7oz and costs around 50 dollars. Time will tell as to the quality of this pad. I have two nights on this pad so far. It is light and comfortable and full length. One complaint is that is seemed to deflate just slightly throughout the night. This may have to do with it being new and that the material is stretching and breaking in. Again, time will tell. This pad disperses weight well. A nice feature is that the edges of the pad inflate slightly thicker than the middle which creates a sort of cradle effect almost eliminating the roll off issue I have found on other pads. This pad is the best budget friendly option I have found thus far.

Resolved: Does not keep inflated
I purchased this after purchasing the pillow and really liking the material and feel. Unfortunately the pad is not the same material as the pillow it feels thin. I put this inside my sleeping bag and after an hour it deflated completely. Although this packs small and is light it doesnt really matter if you can not use it. Would not recommend.Edit: After being contacted the issue was resolved in a thorough manner and I was sent a new pad. the location of the leak was in a very odd spot where the plastic was welded together. Tillak stands behind their products 100% and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fiscal long lasting solution. They have their manufacturing team looking into how this isolated incident could have occurred and I have full confidence they will fix the issue and refine the process. Thank you Tillak for being an awesome company. I will update as soon as I get a chance to test out the replacement.

Pretty close!
I'm a big gear nerd, so keep that in mind.I like that its lightweight, cheap and pretty comfortable, as well as packs down small and blows up reasonably quickly.I tend to inflate it absolutely all the way, and when I do it sort of twists, so it doesn't lay flat. That and the "mummy" shape means my feet are usually on the ground as I think it tapers too much. The R Value is totally worthless except for summer, but you could always combine a cheap ridge rest and this, or just a cheap ridge rest. They also say "Up to 6'2" people" however the pad is 73.5" and 6'2" would be 74"...furthermore long or tall pads are usually 78" or 80". I would love to see a rectangular version that is at least 74" (mainly because I am 6'2").So in summary this pad is close enough, and definitely cheap enough, and definitely not super rustly and noisy like so many ridiculous sleeping pads that inflate. It strikes the right balance so I'm pretty happy with it.

This is a really nice pad. I was a bit skeptical at first ...
This is a really nice pad. I was a bit skeptical at first since it isn't from one of the big brands but so far, I'm liking this even more than my Thermarest Neo Air. It's lighter and more compact but it seems just as comfortable. It doesn't crinkle as much as the Neo Air either which is nice. It's not self inflating but it seems to take a lot less effort to fully inflate than the air mattresses I am used to.. I was surprised how fast it inflated. It also comes with a repair kit and a stuff sack. Not sure how they can sell these for so much less than the usual suspects but as far as I can tell, the quality is the same, if not better. Good stuff.Haven't heard of Tillak before but they seem pretty legit based on the info on their website... they also claim to donate 25% of profits as well which is nice. Cool company with a neat concept. I'll be checking out their other stuff for sure.

Worked great for travellinh
I have fibromyalgia and need a soft mattress in order to get a good night we slep. I had been taking along a full sized feather bed topper when we travelled, but was faced with a dilemma on our last trip as each traveler could bring only one suitcase. So, I thought that an inflatable would work for my needs. After researching many inflatable mattresses, I chose this one. What a great choice! I was able to inflate it quickly and easily, no pump necessary, and then could let out just enough to make the mattress as comfortable as I needed. Worked like a charm! I got a good night's sleep, no soreness in the morning. And the bonus was, it fit beautifully in my suitcase.

Actually Comfy and can't feel the hard floor!
I've only blown it up so far and laid on my wood floor and took a nap in my living room. So from that perspective oh my is it comfy! Couldn't even tell that I was laying on a sleeping pad rather than my bed. So now I can't wait to use it camping. It was easy to blow up (was a little afraid at first since it seemed huge but one I got it going it was fast. Love how compact it is. Wish I had it on my trek for Mont Blanc. I will go on a camping and canoeing trip in Oct so we shall see how it is in the wild. Can't wait to use it and now I'm interested in the chair that Tillak has to offer. Great product!Edit: Oct 26, 2018 I've used this on two camping trips. One was a canoeing in Nevada/Arizona and Big Sur. This is so comfortable! Didn't even feel like I slept on the ground. I had the best night sleep ever while camping. Excited for more adventures with this!

perfect pad: ultralight + best valve/easy inflate
Stoked on this pad. There are a lot of good facts/features to speak to, but I am most excited about the ultralight weight x packable size, and the quality/design of the air valve. The air valve is the best and easiest inflation/deflation system I have used. After a long hike or bike ride, finally arriving at camp, the last thing I want to do is spend time and get light headed inflating my sleeping pad. The Shasta Ultralight out performs my Therm-a-rest NeoAir pad for this reason alone, it's simply fast and easy to inflate/deflate, and I really value that feature/performance. It's instantly become my go-to pad for every backpacking and bikepacking trip this summer. Thanks, Tillak!
