Crazy good bargain, buy it and use it for anything and everything. Mine used daily and going great after a month.
I recently added under cabinet lighting to my kitchen counters. It looks fantastic once completed. I have a very large kitchen, around 25 feet or more and was able to wire the whole thing up for under $100. Without the diffusion rods, could've done it for under ~$30. I have a custom built house so I had the builder install electrical outlets above the top kitchen cabinets, this way I can plug in the adapters and it can't be seen from below. The most basic materials needed is 1. a plug in adapter to provide the 12V of power that plugs into the wall, 2. the wire for getting the 12V power from the adapter to the LED lights, the LED light strips, 3. and solderless connectors for hooking things up (this was a big headache). When I was installed the LED string lights I noticed the lights were glaring off my silestone countertops so I added a diffusion rod to diffuse the light, and the aluminum rod it came in made moving around the lights a lot easier during installation. Highly recommend getting the diffusion rods to protect your lights and re-orient them in the future without having to rip them out because their glue is strong and the LED strip is very weak. Below are the materials needed and my reviews for them. I shorted it a few times and it must've had a built in protection circuit because it never burnt out or caught fire. It says 24W max and my LED strips are 24W so it must be slightly more efficient since it was able to drive them without issues. Later I only used half the light strip on this adapter since my kitchen has a gap in it. Buy this, you'll need it and its very cheap. I thought my lights would use more than 2A so I also got this adapter but I didn't end up needing so much power ( I still use this in the project). Its OK though since I can use the second roll for future floor lighting. The kitchen cabinets usually have a gap between the cabinets, but in some cases I just drilled holes through the cabinet and pushed this wire through. Far too loose to be useful connectors for the 8mm single color LED strips I was using. Maybe because in the description it says for WATERPROOF LED strips, and since mine are not waterproof they might be much thinner. My LED strips are 8 mm so it should work well but it doesn't. They should be like the other connectors I bought where the LED strip goes underneath the contacts. I ended up having to BUY A soldering iron to solder my connections to these horrible pins. Allows you to easily move the lights around, etc. I wish it was cheaper, it basically cost as much as everything else in the project combined, but luckily one order was enough for the whole kitchen and I even ended up with some spare material. Its easy to cut, I was able to use a hacksaw for the aluminum, and scissors/wire stripppers for the diffusion covers. The covers snap easily into the aluminum channel. GoControl Z-Wave Plug-in Dimmer Module - PD300Z-2 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E1OXK3A I control the lights using my z-wave controller. This works really well. Sometimes it doesn't pair well with my domoticz z-wave controller. I figured out I need to just reboot the controller and it should show up.

Good quality product
Good quality. Easy to install. Size is perfect for under cabinets. We usually don’t use a remote control with these lights. We connect them to a wall switch. Light level is perfect. Never had a light burn out. Only had to change out the power adapter after lights were on 24/7 for 5 years

Bright, consistent, and economical
I bought this on a lark because I'd been experimenting with LED strip lighting from a number of manufacturers, and found this unusually long LED strip at a good price. Though it didn't come with a power supply or switch, I figured I would be able to locate a suitable transformer for the 12V and 18W needed. It took some searching, and I must have checked about two dozen old transformers in my garage before finding one that had the right connector plug and electrical specs. You may have to some trial and error if you want to rummage your own power supply, or you can buy the one they suggest. So once I had it working what do I do with it? I soon found a lighting situation that couldn't be remedied with a normal lamp, but this was perfect. You have to be careful in removing the paper from the LED strip. First time I started, I started peeling both the paper and the adhesive off the back of the LED strip. But once you get it right, the adhesive sticks quite well. All of the LEDs worked first time, and still work. There was a strong chemical smell when I first opened and inspected the LEDs, and I'm not sure whether that is the adhesive or a byproduct of the LED manufacturing. Now that it's installed there is no smell. Overall, this is a great value. It's nice to be able to put an old 12V transformer to good use. The only thing missing is a switch. I'm still looking for a good way to set up a switch to turn the lights on and off, as now the only way to control them is to plug or unplug the transformer power cable or the barrel connector from the transformer to the LEDs.

4 YEARS WITH THIS! EH.. | In-depth Review | Rami Taha
Quality Rating: 4/5 Based on price: 5/5 Time with Product: 4 years (purchased in 2017) Review: This LED light strip was used under my bed. For 3 years these strips have held up very well. However, for the 4th year... This is when I noticed a drawback. Let me begin with the positives. The brightness is absolutely amazing! I have used countless other light strips and their drawbacks was the brightness. Other brands had terrible brightness, and this is an aspect where this light strips perfects! As for the remote, it has held up on the original battery for all 4 years now. The remote functions well, but they do not work only for that light strip. For example, I purchased another light strip from this same brand to put underneath my desk and they sent the same remote with that light strip. So now, I have two remotes that both control my desk and bed light strips. This can be seen as a good thing by many including me, but I could see this being a drawback for some people. So be warned. I personally like this because it means that I click one button to turn my room's LED strips and they are always in sync! Now. For the drawback... The adhesive. It is not so great. After 2 years my desk light strips began falling off. Disappointed, but they did last for 2 years. As for my bed light strips they lasted for 3 years. PRO TIP: I've noticed that you can double the life expectancy of the adhesive if you get a tissue or some fabric and put like 99% rubbing alcohol on it and you sanitize the entire area that you are planning to place the light strip on. This will strengthen the adhesive tape and solidify the contact between the strip and the surface. Another downside for me was that they don't work smart. For example, I would have enjoyed if I could Alexa control these light strips or if I could use an application to turn off / on and change the colors. That would have really sealed the deal for me! Anyway, I still highly recommend these light strips for anyone looking for a bright, cheap, and long light strip that can only be controlled with a remote. Thank you for reading my review! Bright, durable, lower power draw and very easy to use! Did I mention bright?
So far so good! I've purchased a couple of these to light up my shed and I have to say, pretty darn cool! No really, not hot to the touch at all!! Sorry. I cut each strip into three separate sections, used their tape backs to attach to the rafters and then wired them up to small solar station. I thought that just using the first strip was bright but when I added the second, WOW! It also helps that we painted the inside of the shed white and very light blue. Even though they come with strips of tape on their back (and which I gladly used) I also used some clear mono-filament and some small brads to zig-zag them to the rafters due to the constant hot and cold fluctuations. I've had the first set up for a while and, knock on wood, they've been working great. Easy to work with, very bright (even though I didn't go with the 5050 strips - larger LEDs further spaced) and they don't draw a lot of power. I opted for the "Daylight" LEDs because I wanted the most bang for the buck as it were. Not disappointed. I feel the warmer whites, in this particular implementation, would have looked "off" in a shed. My humble opinion, your mileage may vary. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who is interested in a low voltage or solar lighting project. Edit: The picture shows a single LED strip (5m) that I cut into thirds. This is prior to installing the second strip. No other lighting and no special photo effects to make things look "brighter". That one strip put out a heck of a lot of light all on its own.

Power specs not as advertised, good adhesive, good price.
The Good: The price is almost laughably low (Probably because they are screw-ups they are trying to sell off cheep, see below). The adhesive is better then I have seen on other LED strips. The copper pads for making connections are also better then some other rolls I have seen. They are in fact 6000k Daylight white. The Bad: Power specs are actually half of what is listed. (Likely a screwup in manufacturing, they used to large of current limiting a resistor). Conclusion: If you are just trying to put up some ascent lighting in your house these are not a bad option as the adhesive is really what matters. If you are looking for an exact brightness/power use then spend a bit more and get a strip with an accurate power rating. Would I buy again? Only as an inexpensive lighting option, If I was making an LED panel light I would look for a more reliable manufacture with brighter LEDs. In the weeds info: I bough three strips and cut them up into 13.5 inch sections adhering them to a panel. I then wired a buss bar across the positive and negative sides of the strips. I added some custom power connectors to the panel and then hooked it up to a 12V SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) capable of delivering 385 watts on the 12VDC line. (Modified ATX power supply) Power specs not as advertised: The specs listed on amazon have them at 20 watts @ 12 VDC. I wired three strips together and then tested the current draw getting 3 amps @ 12 VDC. That puts all three strips at 36 watts or 13 watts per strip. That is almost half the power listed. The data sheet that came with the LEDs stated a power rating of 4.8 watts per meter and a tottal length of 5 meters. That puts the power at 24 watts. So clearly these power numbers are just made up or are equivalent rating (not shocked). My best theory at the moment is that they used the wrong size current limiting resistor, the ones I got have a 240 ohm resistors limiting the current of 3 LEDs with a forward voltage of 2.8v to 50mA. The photos show a strip with 150 ohm resistors, effectively doubling the current available. It should also be noted the photos show strips with slightly different copper pads. I went onto DigiKey and speced out SMD LEDs that would be the likely spec for what I got and they have max current specs that start around 75mA and go up to 240mA. This only supports my theory about the resistors. Given the price I would be willing to try out some of their other LED rolls and provide extensive feedback.

Perfect for illuminating the alcove above kitchen cabinets
These LED lights worked perfectly for mounting above our kitchen cabinets to light up the alcove above the cabinets. I love the daylight white color. The two pack was very affordably priced, the 3M-branded adhesive backing sticks quite well to the trim (sticking to the unstained part of the trim facing the wall, opposite the side you see from standing in the kitchen), and all of the LEDs lit up perfectly (no defects). The cabinets I mounted these on are separated by a pantry, so I used solderless Snap Down 2Pin Conductor LED Strip Connectors to transition from the LED strip lights to 18AWG, in-wall rated copper wire, allowing me to connect the LED strip lights in series and power them with a single 12V 5A 60W Power Supply Adapter (be sure to get UL listed). Two complete strips in series pulls 50W, but my project ended up using 24 ft of lights, and actual current draw is 0.26A AC, or 2.9A DC (31W). I am very pleased with how this project turned out. For easy on/off of the lights (since the power supply doesn't have a switch) I used a Leviton Grounded Switch with an On/Off toggle switch.
