Exactly what I needed
This is great for me. Yes, you could make your own, and yes you could plan all that you need to as a GM/DM. However, I love that I don't have to do any of that. I have acquired several of this author's books and use them to help make game nights more interesting and I also write my own single-player campaigns and love that I can use these random tables to keep myself on my toes.

Let me explain what this actually is...
So this thing looks like one of those old workbooks you'd get in school. I'd say more durable, but it's very close. It's full of random tables according to type. These ideas are pretty solid and are used to spark some creativity. It's described just enough to use them on the spot and blend it into a campaign. If you have a big binder for your campaign materials, this would be perfect to punch holes into and put in there. It'd need a powerful hole puncher, but still, that's where I would store it. I have a section in my binder for random events and names, so this fits perfectly. Overall, just know this is to help you get started, not do the work for you. But, when the group derails, this is super useful.

I really like this.
I love this book because it gives you a 1000 quest ideas do and very easy to use. I can't wait to start using this book. I will be getting to other 2 books.

An Okay book worth 4 stars
I don't think this book pretends to be anything other than what it is, so I'm willing to give it 4 stars. It's not an end-all be all, but it doesn't claim to be anything more than a bunch of random tables. I find these random tables useful for sparking my own creativity and Matt Davids does an ample job of providing good quests to work with. The binding could use some work because it's a thin book, but I think the price-point is alright and total package I think any customer would not be disappointed with this book. The kindle version could be cheaper I think. If you're looking for something mind-blowing to help you with your dungeon mastering however, this isn't that. There are a lot of free roll tables for this kind of thing, but I think these are alright and maybe worth paying for if you're stuck for ideas of your own.

More writing prompts than quests
The list can be helpful for brainstorming but they aren't quite full quests. For example, I can list just a few of the ideas for a doorway to another world and these are in order together: - A cat befriends a member of the party. However, at one point it scratches the party member and then the entire party wakes up in another world- The party finds a sword lying in the road. When someone touches it, the entire party is transported to another world.- The party notices an imp sitting forlornly by a stream. When they approach he casts a spell that sends them to another world.I suppose you could argue that the quest is finding out what this cat is, why they scratched you, why when they scratched only you did your whole party but nobody else around got transported, and what you need to do to get back. However, not much of the work is done by the book. There are some entries that are a bit more baked. The one starting that list and right before the other examples reads: - The party finds a small fairy sealed in a bottle. She signs to them that she needs help, but not to open the bottle. If they follow her directions, she leads them to a doorway in a hedgerow. It leads to an evil wizard's lair, and if the party enters, they need to defeat the wizard. They they can free the fairy. That gives me a better idea of a desirable conclusion, steps that should occur throughout and gives me multiple parties to work with for a quest. I still have plenty of work but I have a pretty solid foundation. Unfortunately, most of the items in the book are the earlier examples and aren't super useful on their own.

I like how everything is organized in sections - from plot hooks to random generation, everything sounds great!

A Good Book for a Good Price
There's nothing fancy here, it's just as it says. It's a simple encounter book with various hooks for your games and players. However, in that role it does a great job. The different hooks are organized into different sections to make selecting the type you need for your encounter easier. There are a lot for every type so you won't be lacking for ideas. Yes, you can find all of these and more ideas online. If you're buying one of these encounter books though you're doing so because generally you want them in one location without all the searching. This one gives you a lot of ideas for a very cheap price. I can't think of another encounter guide that beats this one for price. If you're looking for such a book definitely check this one out.

A Great Book for inspiration
This book is exactly what it says it is. A book filled with various d100 tables to roll on each giving you a random quest idea. I use this mainly when my player characters are in a town and are asking for odd jobs off some of the NPCs or hearing rumours of threats.A great book to get inspiration for a short side quest, or even a full adventure with enough information and creativity on your behalf.

Great book. Totally worth the money. Easy to read, very inspiring story starters. Well written and highly imaginative. I would recommend this book as an addition to any GM’s collection.
