Damp Proofing Rods DPC Kit: Treats 6 Linear metres (9" Wall) - BBA Approved Rising Damp Treatment

This product is amazing! The photo was taken 10 days after I drilled and inserted the rods and after a weekend of a substantial amount of rain. Before treatment, I'd see a good arc of damp, after rain, extending 2 to 3 feet up the wall. You can see now that in a short space of time, the product has deflected the damp so that only a small patch appears well below the line of mortar below floor level. I chose to insert from the outside since we have a 9 inch wall... no cavity... and all interior walls are dry lined anyway. I'm frankly amazed at how quickly the dryrod has worked. Excellent product, an easy DIY job and a quick result. Cannot recommend enough.

Easy to install, would use again

I used these rods about three months ago in Scotland where we get a lot of rain. I used them on an old sandstone building with no damp proofing and the ground water was seeping up the exterior wall and into the house and rotting the floor joists. I drilled a straight line 120 mm apart and a few inches below the interior floor joists all round the house and inserted the rods and filled the holes with the filler supplied. I kept the line even through the sandstone and mortar lines to keep a constant barrier. The scoop was great for clearing debris. Within 3 days to a week a could see the ingredients of the rods leeching towards each other on the outer wall. Three months later I’m back to repair and replace the damaged floor joists and there’s no water or dampness on the interior walls whereas before they were soaking. I can confirm that this product works..!! My only problem was that the supplied drill bit head broke three quarters of the way into the job and I had to use a replacement or it would be five stars all round. Give this a go and save yourself a lot of time and money.

Excellent piece of kit, does exactly what it's supposed to do, good value for money

Restoring an Edwardian house there was damp in the front and spine walls that has now completely gone following use of these dry rods. This can be a DIY job, but be careful to follow the instructions to the letter. For us, they have been so successful that we’re doing the same treatment on the party walls as an added precaution. From our experience, I can highly recommend them.

Great dampproofing material.After installation damp levels in the wall reduced to normal.You can see difference in colour of the wall below dryrod and above it.Instructions are very clear and installation was quick.All what you need is coming in the package.Highly recomended

I ended up sending back as not suitable for what I needed it for. I had to pay postage to return item which is not what you’d expect from an item purchased on Amazon.

Utilisé l’année dernière , pour l’instant les remontées capillaires ne réapparaissent pas . Faire des trous tous les 10 cm est un peu fastidieux mais ça vaut le coup . Ce produit est facile à installer
