Really boosts your signal range
I swapped my stock antenna for this one and haven’t looked back. Great performance all around but sort of cumbersome space wise. I’d suggest running a lead from your radio to a vest or backpack to help with this. It unfolds to over 3x its folded length and stores easily. A must have for anyone looking to boost their radio performance.

A good gain antenna though unwieldy
I purchased this antenna and connected it to my Kenwood D74. I live 15 floors above ground level and called into a local VHF repeater that is about 8 km away with all of the downtown high rises etc. in the way. Another local amateur, about 6 km away agreed to provide me with qualitative reports on my signal quality and strength. Firstly I tried a good Diamond tri-band antenna on VHF then I switched to the ABREE 72 cm antenna.I was told that off of the repeater my signal was better with the ABREE from the repeater. When he listened on the transmit frequency for my signal directly from the ABREE vs the Diamond antenna the ABREE far outshone the Diamond antenna. My HT gave no indication of high SWR or other problematic issues when transmitting and only the normally expected temperature change of the HT occured. da VA3NIE
