MAPEX HITS A HOME RUN!
The Armory series is an amazing product! This stand is double braced, but more importantly, the tripod pivots, so the foot pedal can align with double pedals! This is ESSENTIAL for double pedals. Also - it has an INCREDIBLE lock mechanism for the top hat, where you push the button in, and you can just pull the screw off! You could literally change hi-hats at a show in between songs in seconds. You can also lock it in position too. The only down-side to this stand is the black coating will chip, so I wouldn't use any clamps or hardware on it. They do come in black, black and chrome, and chrome. I chose black as my set is black, so it looks amazing. Another notable point - the pedal is on a chain drive, and is very smooth! Mapex hit a home run with this hardware!

Awful
Legs don’t spread far enough apart to put next to a slave pedal. There’s this screw that makes it even more awkward. The rod is way too long.

Gear
My upgrade highhat stand. I don't travel with it, kind of heavy I would say.

Damn thing wont stop spinning
Love the stand and am using it for my Roland E-Kit but I can't for the life of me get this damn thing to keep my high-hat from spinning. I've tried tightening all areas that I'm able to fasten but it just keeps spinning around and wont hold still. Very frustrating as my high-hat is area sensitive for samples and with the consistent spinning I can't utilize it properly.
