Review: These are trash - No instructions, so you have to go off the pictures, first one I built didn't work at all, second one worked but not well. Tested both circuits in terms of connectivity, so it had to be bad MOSFETs. Built my own out of some components I had around from a few years ago, mine worked like a champ.

Five Stars
Works great as intended. Just wish the price was a bit less.

They work
What can I say, I assembled them and they worked like a champ but many people might have problems with the assembly and wiring information, there is none. I really wish Gikfun (and others) would up their game a little bit and make a standout product. We don't need cool and trendy packaging but maybe a little pointer to a web page showing assembly and wiring would be nice.

Read the documentation first
Simple enough device, but before you purchase it, make sure you can find documentation online. I found what seems to be a similar product online at Sparkfun, and use their schematic for reference. Good price, but documentation is quite thin, if it exists at all.

Understand the circuit needs
Worked well for several projects I’ve been working on, I will order again can’t beat the price.

Not for 3.3v microcontrollers
Don't believe the "compatible with any 3-5V microcontroller" above... this does not work with a 3.3v input. Even with a constant 3.3v connection, none of the 5 MOSFETs would work until I added another device (transistor) to feed them 5v.

Hard to wire up. Here are the instructions copied from sparkfun: System “C” = Gate, connect to microcontroller I/O “-” = Source, for reference connect microcontroller’s GND and the power source’s GND “+” = Vcc, connect to the “+” terminal of your power source Device “-” = Drain, connect this to “R”, “G”, or “B” cathode (-) of the 12V LED strip “+” = 12V, connect to “12V” pin of the 12V LED Strip
