Great value and quality
First, I was skeptical to buy this set, because of the price, for my first cast-iron 8’’ pan I paid more in a local store, but was very surprised with the quality of these pans and they are already pre-seasoned, no needs to worry about oiling them. Also, the included sleeves are very helpful-I use them for all my pans. They came nicely packaged and with a bonus recipe book. While I am not in a favor of using iron pans for everything, especially for smelly or acidic food, like fish, tomatoes or vinegar, I like to sear the steak in the cast-iron pan on the stove until it's nicely browned and, then transfer it to the oven to let it finish cooking.Cons: unlike any non-stick skillet, the cast-iron does require more attention and care; not good for acidic food; if it wasn't properly dried ends up getting rusty.Pros: handle extremely high temperature; withstand deep-frying; it's hard to permanently mess up; It's not an expensive investment-last forever; it can be used in the oven.Also, because I use my cast iron pans mostly to cook or fry food with a high temperature, I have learned that wooden or silicone utensils are preferable to avoid any chemicals or toxins in your food. Even cooking, food taste better.
Amazing cast iron skillets. Heavy, sturdy, well made. I love the silicone handles too. When I received them I washed them in hot soapy water and immediately dried them. I turned on the oven to the highest it will go (my oven only goes up to 470 degrees). I then coated the pans with oil. A light covering of oil. Enough to appear wet but not more. I placed them in the oven for an hour. Removed and let cool. The next day I made eggs, sausages and French toast. Lovely!! Didn’t stick, even cooking and the food taste better.The pans are larger than I thought they would be. It was exactly what I needed.To maintain the pans always clean by hand and always coat lightly with oil. I’ll keep doing this and they will last for many many years 😀

Great pans, great price!
I've been a die-hard Lodge fan for years, but when my son moved away and took his 12 inch with him, I missed it, and needed to replace it. One Lodge 12 inch costs more than this two pan set, plus it comes with two silicone handle covers and two scrapers. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Compared to my Lodge, they are slightly heavier, a bit deeper and just as sturdy as my old stand by. I would not hesitate to recommend these pans.

Great value
I really like these cast iron skillet! Very good material. The instructions tell you what to do to keep it in good condition, it is not that hard but a little inconvenient. However, I don’t use it all the time so, it’s ok. Overall, I am very happy. Oh, and the holders that come with it, because it does gets hot on the holder of the skillet, it’s a nice touch!I would definitely recommend it!

Easy to use straight from the box!
Pre heated pan at 400, once at temp seared 3 steaks on all sides + added butter and covered all sides. Placed back into oven for suggested time. Covered steaks sever times with melted butter before removing. No burn or scorch on meat. Pan was easy to clean then re-fired oven to dry out and cure pan. It came out like new and went back on the wall. Good size as a kit and the handle covers worked wonderfully!

Love my Uno Casa Cast Iron Skillets!
I absolutely love that I made this purchase! I grew up as a child with my grandparents and my parents using cast iron skillets and I finally made a purchase of my own as an almost 65 yr old woman. I've used the 10" a couple times now, haven't used the 12" yet. I can tell you that I made my famous turkey burger and red onions in it and it was delicious! Seems as though the flavor was a bit more robust in the cast iron than it normally would be in my Farberware or Regal skillets. Upon first use I just started out washing the skillet in warm soapy water. After cooking in it, I let it cool down and washed it and used my skillet scraper that came with it, and then I wiped it down inside and out with a very light coating of Canola oil and put it in the preheated oven on 400 degrees for an hour. After which, I turned the oven off and let the skillet cool overnight before putting away. Love, love, love my new cast iron skillets. :) Although I thought I was getting the Uno Casa Recipe Book along with my skillets when they shipped to me. Just now realizing that the cookbook is a downloadable recipe e-cookbook...so I'll have to go online to look for that. Again, happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone interested in cast iron cookware.

These skillets changed my life
I cook everything from fish, to cornbread to Brussel sprouts to frittatas in these skillets. I'm over the moon about the quality and heft of these workhorses. I heat them up for the requisite time and cool them down prior to cleaning to ensure their longevity. I don't know how I cooked without them. From stove to oven to table, they present well and have everything one would want in a cast-iron skillet.

A MUST for meats!!
I always hated cooking chicken breast before I got a cast iron. But cast iron is really the way to go for cooking basically any meat. Produces a perfect crispy other layer with a juicy inner. The only issue I'll have is that it tends to smoke up kitchen of I use it for a longer period of time. LolBut seriously!For chicken!Fish!Frying!Deep dish pizza!!Seriously so much you can do with a cast iron, and this brand/set has worked marvelously for me. I use the large one more often, but use the smaller one for corn bread or deep dish.I love that they include a recipe book and great instructions on caring for your pan! Silicone holders and a scaper to clean also included.:)If you handle these pans with love and keep up you reseasoning they're basically nonstick pan you can use with high heat. Love these!!:)

Padelle molto robuste, resistenti e pesanti. Le usiamo quasi quotidianamente e devo dire che fino adesso non hanno dato problemi. Attenzione, ovviamente la pulizia e diversa dato che sono di ghisa.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung für den Preis
Ich habe die Pfannen nun eine Weile getestet und bin sehr zufrieden. Ich werde gleich noch zu den Vor- und Nachteilen kommen.Vorab, ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den Pfannen und bekomme wirklich klasse Steaks damit hin.Da ich Induktionsplatten zuhause habe, war ich Länge auf der Suche und kann sagen, die Pfannen lohnen sich in jeglicher Hinsicht.Steaks, Gemüse, Saucen, etc. bislang habe ich alles damit super hinbekommen. Dadurch dass diese auch super auf den Grill gestellt werden können oder auch im Backofen genutzt werden können, sind die Pfannen wahre alles Könner.Für ein Steak lasse ich die Pfannen erst einmal richtig heiss werden, aber Achtung, ihr braucht eine sehr gute Dunstabzugshaube, da die Pfannen richtig stark qualmen.Was super ist, sind die Silikon Überzüge für die Griffe. Man spürt absolut keine Hitze. Auch bei längerem drauf ziehen. Die Griffe sind stets super anzufassen!Vorteile- sehr gute Wärmeleitung und -speicherung- energiesparendes Braten möglich- pflegeleicht, keine chemischenReinigungsmittel nötig- gesunde und fettschonende Zubereitung- kaum Anbrennen- sehr lange HaltbarkeitNachteile- höheres Gewicht- höherer Preis- Bei nicht vorbehandelten Gusseisenpfannen Einbrennen notwendig- je nachdem, ob mit oder ohne Emaille, nicht für alle Speisen geeignet- Aufwärmvorgang dauert länger- Kochen erfordert etwas Übung

Super poêles !!!
Super qualité !!! Contrairement a certains commentaires les poeles ne rouillent pas.... si elles sont correctement préparées avant utilisation ( cullotage..voir les vidéos sur le net et sur la notice livrée avec les poeles).pour leur entretien il ne faut pas oublier que la fonte c'est du fer, du coup lavage léger a l'eau très chaude et ensuite bien sécher la poêle et la huiler légèrement avec un linge.Les poêles sont de très bonne qualité et n'accrochent pas. Enfin une cuisson saine!!!
