The chair is comfortable and made from good heavy chromed steel. It puts me in mind of the heavy made counter chairs we used in the automotive parts stores in the 70's and 80"s. It's hydraulically adjustable up and down. The back support is for optional use and adjustable back and forth. It's a little short for my desk and work bench but a little off the legs will take care of this. I really love it.

I already had a shop stool (for my garage) but wanted one with a back. Received this one and everything about it is nice. Excellent packing, high quality parts, easy to assemble, good price.Assembly is via 12 metric screws. A simple wrench and hex tool is provided but I used my own tools which made things a little easier. I used a "T-Handle" 5 mm hex wrench and 10 mm box end wrench or socket for the locking nut. A "#2" Phillips worked well for the Phillips head screws. I appreciated the locking nut rather than the usual flat washers and lock washer often provided. These can loosen over time.The seat back is adjustable "front to bacK" but not up and down. Usage will tell if this is a limitation or not. All in all, no complaints with this stool.

Average/comfortable seat, backrest should be higher! I think they show two hole locations on the instructions but only one is actually on the tubes. Easy to fix with a drill bit, though it should already be there.First thing I noticed was the packaging was outstanding. Well boxed and secured inside with about a dozen zip ties to keep the parts from shaking loose. Individually boxed pieces for hardware and smaller components, and a nice touch, even the instructions were independently bagged in a little zip-loc.Instructions: Hands-down the best written set of instructions I've read in the past few years. Clear, excellent prose, not confusing in any way when referring to the various parts. Only discrepancy was calling the cylinder tip "orange" which it was not (made no difference because the color was not needed to orient the part correctly). These instructions were quite obviously written by literate English speakers, and I would hope the same attention to clarity was given to the other languages as well. Even if this thing falls into a million pieces next week, the instructions alone would be worth three stars!Not that it's difficult to assemble in any way...very easy, took about 8 minutes once I got things unboxed. Tools required are a 10mm socket and ratchet, a large-tip phillips screwdriver. They provide a hex wrench/phillips combo, but it's really only good as a hex key in my opinion. The nuts are all nylock, which is a very nice touch too.Seat is lightly padded. Just another 1/2 inch of some higher density foam would be much better. Seat back is equally average, but positioned too low with no option to raise it. It has spring buttons on the supports, so drilling another hole to snap into would give you adjustment room.So, overall, I'm satisfied and would purchase it again.

The stool is as advertised and works just fine for the price. The hydraulic lift failed on it after about 6 months and I didnt bother to fix it initially, but found I needed to be able to set the seat height, so I called the seller and they are shipping me a replacement! Great service. Thanks!

Stability and strength as well as lower back support.

The handle arrived broken in 3 pieces and a plug is missing on the seat. Overall, the assembly was simple. The hydraulic piston isn't fastened to the chaos, so if you pick up the chair by the seat, it can pull off the seat.

Stool is definitely worth the money when you start comparing to other like stools. Placed the order on 31-Aug-16, Amazon stated I would have it around 20-Sep-16… Received it on 7-Sep-16… Nothing like under promising and over delivering Amazon, I like it…I would have to agree with another reviewer that stated the Nylock nuts looked like it could pull through the legs as they were tightened up. I saw the same issue and just added some washers. The tools that come with the stool are laughable and went straight to the trash, but I do understand… Very good instructions (my compliments to the technical writer) and very well packaged, .... I bought this for the garage, with me in the garage and the wife in the house, I stay out of a lot of trouble that way.Even with those 2 small issues, If I was doing a garage themed man cave, they are nice looking and comfortable enough that I could see having a few of these around the bar….I may need another for the garage for those who bring beer!!!!

I'm completely happy with this chair. It's exactly what I was looking for. Very well packaged. Nice clear instructions. Goes together in 30 minutes max. It will absolutely wreck your wrist if you are putting it together with a regular screw driver. A power driver really helps. Nice and tall. All four feet flat on the floor, no wobble at all. When the backrest is removed it makes a nice looking bar stool. There is very little padding on the seat or backrest which some people may not like. I wish they had used all hex fasteners rather than Phillips screws.

This is a great stool, very sturdy and easy to assemble. Love the height it gets to and the hydraulic with back support is amazing,The only thing on mine i didnt like was that on my seat there were two dents.

I was worried this chair wasn't going to be as tall as the chair i was replacing but turns out it's actually a inch taller. Great chair, easy assembly and a great height.
