Strike Industries3 Piece - T1 Riser Optic Mount (Black)

Needed a mount that would allow me to use a T1/T2 style red dot. This setup allowed me to dial in the right height I needed since it has several different pieces to use. This allows Low mount, Co-witness, and Lower 1/3

I didn't get past installing a single screw when one of the included screws removed material from inside the optic body making that mounting hole unusable. The optic is a Romeo5 bought directly from Sig Sauer.The attached photo shows the material removed from the mounting hole on the optic. It was threaded onto the end of the riser mount screw after I backed it out.

After several weeks of research I ordered the Strike Industries T1 Riser Mount to pair with a Sig Romeo5 optic on my Savage MSR Recon. I wasn’t happy with the stock riser due to its height. I’m 6’1 and was having to cheek press very hard in order to center the red dot while looking through my prescription eyeglasses. With the T1 at 1/3 co-witness, I can still get a good press while centering the red dot easily. Unfortunately there’s no data as far as the height for absolute and 1/3 co-witness on Strike Industries site. I even reached out to Strike Industries and did not get a response so I was hesitant to order but I’m glad I did. The optic is now roughly 1/4” taller than the factory Sig mount. I don’t run any BUIS so I can’t speak for them being 1/3 co-witness. The package comes with two sets of different length machine screws as well as Loctite. I had no issue installing the screws and everything fit perfectly. There’s also a protruding notch on the underside of the mount that fits in between the Picatinny rail slots so there’s absolutely no front or back movement like the Sig factory mount. The cross screw is also larger in diameter compared to the undersized factory Sig screw. You can’t beat it for the price given the fact that you have the option to use the mount at two different heights. Fit and finish is top notch, I would not hesitate to order again.

Quick Disconnect lever would be a nice option

Mounted a sig romeo 5 on the absolute cowitness height mount. Used the provided screws. The optic didn't even stay mounted for a full day before being knocked off when barely bumped. All four screws stripped the threads right out of the optic. Now I have a brand new useless red dot and an even more useless mount. Would have been great if the proper length screws were provided and it actually held onto the optic.

As another reviewer noted the supplied hardware is too short for proper thread engagement. The supplied spacer is unnecessary for a lower 1/3 cowitness. M3x0.5mm 25mm low profile head fasteners from McMaster Carr, photo supplied of package do the trick. But that added 13 dollars to the cost. I purchased one from SWFA for airsoft on a sale so it worked out. Sending this info to SI.
