Needs a lot of light, otherwise decent
I bought this mostly for photos rather than video. It's decent, especially with the stand - you can upload the photospheres to many websites and they will turn it into a sphere. The video is a little more challenging, on windows all you can do is generate a file that you could upload to youtube from what you recorded, its mostly transcoding. I haven't figured out a way to reframe the video in DaVinci resolve yet - there was a promising addon being developed but its not being supported. Definitely could do with more resolution, and low light capability.

Its okay
I like how it has its own tripod on its end. Quite handy. It felt flimsy and plasticky for its price. Its also shorter than I expected. Wouldn’t recommend.

Rubbish
No good at all. Wobbly and feels cheap….

Clunky but Adequate
Extension too short. A bit clunky. GoPro moves a little on hinge.

Disappointing
Image quality in hero mode is poor. No manual for 360 editing software, a lot of wasted time trying to figure things out. I reget buying it. Stabilisation excellente. I was expecting better from GOPRO

Not very good!
Maybe i got a faulty one? as most of the reviews are good! but i had it a day, and one of the times i extended it, it broke? sent it back for a refund, which they did no problems, so not a bad review for the seller, they were amazing, just the product

Worst buy
The GoPro Max Grip 7 Tripod's cheep plastic telescopic boom arm is the worst I ever used. Really cheep looking and terrible design. All my cheep selfie sticks are way better than the GoPro Max Grip & Tripod

Very poor quality, GoPro didn’t want to know about it!
Very poor quality, glue holding it together failed, Amazon were very helpful BUT GoPro were not, don’t buy this product.

Folks this is my second Tripod for my Gopro max, first one was good too but i used it underwater and then it got jammed and eventually i could not open it smoothly. Realized this is not waterproof. Otherwise i am quite happy with this

One of the most useful GoPro accessories I own. It’s a rock‑steady mini tripod, a comfortable handheld grip, and an extendable pole—all in one compact, travel-ready tool. - 3-in-1 Versatility: Transforms from grip to tripod to short extension pole in seconds. Perfect for vlogging, time-lapses, group shots, and low-angle B‑roll. - Stable Tripod: The fold-out legs lock firmly and stay put on tables, rocks, and uneven ground. Zero wobble with my GoPro mounted, even in light wind. - Smooth Extension: Telescopes to a handy length for wider framing and selfies without introducing sway. The sections glide and feel secure—no creeping or slipping. - Comfortable Grip: Ergonomic, non-slip texture makes long handheld shots easy. Great for hiking or action shots when you need a steady hand. - Official GoPro Quality: Solid build, precise tolerances, and a mounting system that just works. The thumbscrew tightens confidently; no micro-shifts mid-shoot. - Compact & Travel-Friendly: Collapses small enough to fit in a daypack or jacket pocket. Lightweight but sturdy—ideal for on-the-go creators. - 360/Max Friendly: Works flawlessly with GoPro MAX and other models; the slim profile stays out of the stitch line for clean 360 footage. - Quick Setup: Deploys in seconds so you never miss the moment. Pairs perfectly with time-lapse, Night Lapse, and HyperSmooth filming. Tips: - For windy conditions, spread the tripod wide and keep the extension shorter for maximum stability. - Use the grip mode for smoother walking shots; it reduces hand fatigue versus holding the camera alone. Bottom line: Thoughtfully designed, durable, and genuinely practical. If you want one mount that covers most shooting scenarios, the GoPro Max Grip + Tripod is an easy 5/5.

A great product and very useful. Sturdy, practical, works as it should be and one of the best grip by GoPro. A must have for GoPro MAX
