I've always wanted a set of these racks to make the most of the storage space in my garage. The racks are fairly easy to put together. The reason I gave it 4 stars for ease of install is no fault of the rack, it's just not that easy to install as you have to install brackets on the ceiling (unless your garage ceiling is unfinished).If your garage ceiling is finished, I would highly recommend saving yourself some headache and going to your local hardware store (or buying on Amazon) a stud finder. They are just a few dollars but will save you a ton of hassle and miss-drilled holes.Very happy with the racks, they look great and hold everything I was hoping they would. I plan on getting another rack in the future.

I told my husband that all the reviews complained about the directions. He looks em over and says all those people are illiterate and dumb…..He got the one side set up and then the bad words just came flying. To the point where my 3 yo and me had to leave and play in her room. Even with that we heard metal flying and she kept asking me “what’s Dad breaking?”He finally gets the frame somewhat in with multiple holes in the ceiling and I come in thinking he has part of it upside down… oh my. He had Divorce written all over his face… I watched the useless video and turns out he had it right, which he explained he better have bc he had already just about broke everything having to turn it that way after having it wrong first.Listen, I won’t even get his input on this installation or what he thinks about it because I know he still has PTSD from installing this. I will say it looks beautiful, gets the job done, I’d buy another if it wouldn’t end my marriage but at the end of the day he did say he would’ve written the directions totally different.

These racks are great! I installed them myself. Installed the first one a few months back, and installed the second one just now, just waiting for the paint to dry up. I painted the wood white to make it look “invisible”. I like that you can use wood as it makes it easy to push or pull stuff in/out. Easy to install, sturdy, and great price! If I move, I am bringing these with me!

Ordered Monsterax and got safe racks. This doesn’t matter to me so much. Maybe a company change?? I don’t know but felt odd. Racks came scratched up and parts were bent until they met the rubber mallet. The screw set was missing wing nuts and screws. This on each of two orders I placed.So…off to the hw store to buy screws.Instructions are generally good and I got it installed but they did lack some pretty important details. The safe racks website assembly instructions also omit a level of detail needed.Even with the oddities, I think I’d order again. They just speak to the level of quality that safe racks does it’s business. They will cause you aggravation but the product will work in the end.

This is a great ceiling rack. It is rock solid once installed. I installed it myself with a family member. The installation took a few hours and it is definitely not easy. I double and triple checked that all of my measurements are right. I don’t think that any ceiling rack is easy to install though. If you are pretty handy and you have built stuff in the past, you will have no problem. I definitely would recommend it if you want a rack that is solid and budget friendly.

Requires some planning and knowing where and how the joists are spaced above the ceiling. Once the layout was done, it was straight forward to attached and assemble. This version doesn't come with the platform, so a quick trip to Lowe's to by a sheet of 3/8" x 4' x 8' plywood and have them cut in half was needed.Pay attention to the assembly instructions and loading capacity (300 lb evenly distributed per section) to avoid failure.
