Fletcher Terry08-990 Framer's Or Glazier Points

Fast, safe & effective
Been building my own picture frames and shadowboxes for almost half a century and discovered the Fletcher Terry point driver a few years ago. It makes mounting glass panels in wood frames a pleasure. Not necessarily inexpensive, but the luxury of quickly/safely inserting glazing points sure outweighs the slight increase in expense these framers points cost. I've never used them installing glass in our house windows, just used them for picture frames and shadow boxes.

Perfect, PERFECT!!!
THESE ARE GLAZING POINTS, not framing points. Do not buy if you're looking to these for framing purposes. However, if you are reglazing windows, doing window repair or want to temporarily hold a piece of glass in a window sash, then these are uber perfect for the job.Have used these in conjunction with the Flecter-Terry 07-500 point driver on windows with a very skinny glazing rail and have not had any issues with hitting the point while pressing the glazing down/in that rail. Have used the generic push points from the big box stores and to be straight forward, they suck, I hit the point each and every time I use them and it destroys the glazing line. If you're looking for that perfect point and a clean glazing rail, then you need these points. Have bought 3 additional tubes to the one I already bought. Will buy more when need rises.

Be sure you know what you're getting
I have only myself to blame for not reading the other reviews carefully, but hopefully you won't make the same mistake.I pulled out my new point driver today, eager to frame my first photo and, upon reading the instructions I quickly realized that there is a significant difference between framer's and glazier points, and I, unfortunately, bought glazier points. I don't blame myself entirely since the product description does read "framer's or glazier point" which gives the impression (at least to an amateur like myself) that the point I purchased would be appropriate for framing or glazing. But beware, this is most definitely not true - the glazier points which I received are definitely not long enough for framing.Do yourself a favor and avoid making the same mistake I did!

Very pointy!
So much nicer to use than nails or staples. Well worth the investment. In the system I mean.

Used three strips out of the tup and they are ready
This tube has stacks of points inside and they fire nicely in my Gun.and is in a lightly glued stack that slides into the gun to shoot. TheFletcher pull mate matches these Fletcher points and you have a set.

Great product
I bought these to replace the glazier points in my tool kit. They work very well for framing pictures as well as installing window panes

Great for glazing
Excellent product, and I am looking forward to its use in glazing and in framing. Wish I had been using this product earlier.

Great product with a Big Problem
My Dad has recently taken on the project of re-glazing most of our homes windows. Quickly, he realized that the points took forever to put in by hand. He asked me to find a tool that would make his job easier. What I found was a Glazier Point Driver by Fletcher Terry. Initially there was a certain sticker shock of $72 just for the tool. Upon seeing the amount of glazier points one gets in a package, Dad rationalized that the tool would be an immense help and the points would not run out any time soon. So, I ordered the points and the driver hoping that the points we would receive would be the glazier points and not the framer points. Within a week, we received both types of points, but no driver. After a couple more weeks, I had to set time during my vacation just to convince Grady that they had confused framer points ($5) with the Framer Point Driver ($72). Eventually, they shipped the Driver and Dad is very satisfied with the product. I advised Grady to change their ad to reduce confusion, but I am not sure that will be enough.
