A great ECG monitor that carries out a 6 lead ECG at the 'drop of a hat'
A great ECG monitor that carries out a 6 lead ECG at the 'drop of a hat' and can email results to your Drs or can provide paid for online reports for readings that concern you. Great if you have Atrial Fibrillation or think you may have it as it is often difficult to get AF to occur when having ECGs at hospital or Drs so difficult to get a diagnosis. It does show other heart arrhythmias - ectopics, PVC's etc. It also gives good 1 lead readings. I believe these devices are NICE approved.Downside - you can miss arrhythmias if they are very short lived as you need to turn your phone on, place the ECG monitor on yourself (takes seconds) and then there is a count down to the reading being taken (approx 30secs). Also to take a 6 lead ECG rather than the 1 lead you need to place the back of the device next to your knee or ankle. This is fine if sitting at home, but more difficult if out for a walk! However the 1 lead reading does show up Atrial Fibrillation and regular ectopic beats well and just requires finger contact on the sensors so can be taken anywhere. Also to have all of your ECGs held centrally and to get the free monthly reports you have to sign up for a paid premium online service. You can keep all of your ECG's 'locally' on your phone or PC without a premium account.

Phone clip hugely overpriced
So impressed was i with the KardiaMobile 2L that I recently upgraded to the new 6L model. Unlike the 2L, I was surprised to find that no phone clip was included with the 6L. Unfortunately, the 6L device did not fit into the original 2L clip. Since this was the most convenient way for me to (remember to) carry my ECG device, I paid the £10 price tag, assuming that they must have somehow upgraded the phone clip, with additional protection for the sensors or stronger, bulkier plastic than the original making it too big to include with the device, and it was therefore worth the additional money. I could not have been more mistaken. Not only was it more flimsy than the clip for the original 2L model, but it easily fitted within the packaging of the 6L device. Clearly an attempt by the manufacturer to extract more money from their (vulnerable) customers. The 6L device is excellent; shame about this. For now, they will probably get away with it, but I hope some aftermarket alternatives appear soon.EDIT: A year on and, predictably, all four corners of the clip have cracked. One has even fully broken off. I’ve bought a second one as really no alternative yet. Not a well made product so only buy it if you are willing to fork out £10 per year.

Handy
It’s a lot of help to stick the gadget into the phone cover so I don’t worry about leaving it behind or loosing it.It’s a bit tricky to get the echo chardia out of it to do a 6lead ecg. It’s a bit expensive. If u change ur phone or it’s cover u ll have to get a new one as this one won’t stick anymore if u take it off.

Waste of money
This did not fit, waste of money. Could not fix it to the phone once the Kardia was in place because the clip was bent out of shape. Cheap and not fit for purpose
