Handy, useful, worth the purchase.
Not sure what I did to hang stuff before this, but I know that I won't do that kind of work anymore without this. Easy to use, solidly built, a household-handy item to have. Set it down on something adjacent to your working area, or a tripod it you have it and you're good to go. Green laser is bright and easy to see. Laser levels itself by being on some sort of internal plumb or pendulum, clever. Battery should last a good long time if you're not using it every day.

Put this in your toolbox. Lots of uses.
This tool is a huge timesaver and worth every penny. I attached it to a telescoping camera tripod (tool comes with mounting holes) and used it to install over 20 shelves of various sizes on 6 walls in my basement entertainment area. It was so fast lining up a shelf while on a ladder. I wasn’t constantly reaching for a level to check for level and plumb. This tool’s finest moment was while putting multiple small shelves that were “stacked” on top of each other up both walls of an inside corner. Lining up all the shelf brackets vertically up both walls so they were perfectly level was actually enjoyable because it was so easy while standing on a ladder. All the shelves came out perfect and looked seamless from wall to wall. Using this Lazer level was so much faster than putting a level on the wall and putting tick marks where each screw and shelf bracket would go. Easily saved me hours of time. Very easy to accomplish with this tool with the illuminated level and plumb lines. I used it to install the shelves, sconces, dartboard, big screen tv, electric wall mounted fireplace and wall cabinets. I can assure you everything in this room is level and plumb, lol. I use it as much as a conventional level now. I mounted it to a 5 foot telescopic camera tripod. This helped a ton because it kept the lazer level in one spot and all I needed to do was swivel it to the wall I was working on at that time.

Good for the money.
Works great for what I do. Level is good. Build quality is sturdy. Readability inside is perfect, but for outdoors or in bright light, might be difficult to see.Overall very good for the money. Obviously if your job depends on it, you'll want a better one, but for light use, it's perfect

Non-Self-Leveling mode is Fantastic
Includes self leveling and non self leveling for a complete functional package at a fraction of the cost. Build quality is okay and actually perfect for an occasional user vs a pro daily user. To get this functionality from a Bosch you'll be paying 6X the cost. Accuracy is perfect for a 30x30 room. I have a pair of Greens and Reds for use with a trackcar wheel alignment project for which I need the Non-Self-Leveling function. This way I can compare the rear (green) and front (red) adjustments relative to one another without self-leveling throwing me off. But you do have to pre-level and lock all four equally before starting.

Meh
Works OK but does hard to see and range very diminished if the room you are working in is on the brighter side.Tripod is not worth buying, any camera tripod will be better, this one is beyond flimsy and any kind of vibration in the area will transfer,

Should have bought one of these years ago
Works great! Amazing cheap tool that I should have owned years ago. Wish it had a rechargable battery, but since I have rechargable AAs I guess it is fine. Battery life is super long anyways.

Been dying for one of these
The media could not be loaded. It’s so compact and absolutely perfect. It has a threaded hole to attach to a tripod and adjust from there. Otherwise it’s so easy to use, the instructions are short & sweet, and BATTERIES ARE INCLUDED 🤩

Missing something
Its ok for 40 bucks (iron tripod)So I want to hang a drop ceiling. Self leveled and locked totally fine....then you rotate and make tiny adjustments (like getting to a few inches of a ceiling) and you still have a straight line but not guaranteed level or plumb anymore. Does a 3rd axis cost that much more? I guess I could self level as high as I can then measure a few times up from that mark....then make sure the line hits all necessary lines....but that kinda defeats the purpose right? Am I missing something?
