The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%, High-Strength Exfoliating Serum for Smoother, Brighter Skin, 30ml

So... I wanted to give my review after some time of using the product as I feel that is when a true observation can be made. I have wanted to use The Ordinary products for a long while now and always put it off... I only wish I had started sooner! These products are phenomenal, nothing ‘ordinary‘ about them. I have oily skin that suffers from hyperpigmentation and use Niacinamide in the AM and paired this with Alpha Arbutin in the PM using the Lactic Acid only 2-3 times per week in the PM as it’s much stronger.My skin is glowing, literally glowing. This is the best skin I’ve had in years. I have had no new painful cystic breakouts and scarring is seriously visibly reduced. However, DO NOT buy this product without first researching all of The Ordinary’s line and find which ones work best for you and your skin. Every product is unique and this only works best if you find the solution that your skin will benefit from most!!Lots of negative reviews about packaging quality, but mine arrived in pristine condition and I have checked authenticity - these are 100% REAL. Also saw some reviews about a weird smell? I notice no smell with any of these products, it is a lot thinner in consistency than the others I use however so I find I need more for good coverage. Only negative is that these products are considerably more expensive on Amazon than other big cosmetic retailers but hey, with next day, reliable Prime delivery I considered it worth the extra ££!!!

Well, you can't really beat The Ordinary for great products at really low prices, and this (to me) has been one of the best I've ever bought from them. I'm 49 and desperately looking for non-surgical ways to reverse time which is obviously ridiculous, but I suppose we all live in hope. That said, I've been using this product nightly for about a month now and my skin definitely looks better. I've still got a few lines and it hasn't reduced them, but the clarity and texture of my skin has absolutely changed for the better. If you look at this as a preventative step, rather than something that will reverse time, you can't really go wrong. I do wish I'd started using stuff like this 10 years ago, but hey ho, live and learn. And you don't need to use much of it - I've still got a bit more than half the bottle left and I've probably been a bit heavy handed with it. A little really does go a long way with this stuff. This is definitely going on my list of 'must haves' for the future.

I had been warned by a friend about using scrubs, particularly as I have sensitive skin which is often inflamed and dry. I chose this product as some research suggested lactic acid was on weaker end of what was available.I really like the packaging, for the price it looks really good and can be recycled. I also like the serious clinical look about it.So to using the product. There's no fragrance, which is nice, as a bloke I find these things are often fragranced unpleasantly.For my first application I was expecting some burning or tingling, particularly as my skin was quite red and blotchy. But there wasn't any irritation, in fact it seemed to calm it down almost instantly. There's Tasmanian pepperberry added to the product which is there to combat inflammation.Noticeable difference on my skin.

I bought this a while ago thinking it would be the genuine product but it was not. The lid didn’t even close properly and the label is stuck on wonky. But now that I have the genuine product from the original manufacturers. I see that the colour of the solution is not even the same. When I tried this product, it made me break out further and made my skin sensitive. I’m not sure what it was. I have provided pictures so that you can see the clear difference. Other than the points made, it didn’t do much else to my skin.

To be honest I was really disappointed. It was fantastic for the first 4 days and loved it but after that i started to see small blisters appear . I continued to use for a couple of days but had to stop as my skin got worse.I went back and used this product after reading some advice online. I found that i had to gradually introduce this product to my skincare routine so my skin could get used to it.This worked and I've had great results for a few weeks now.
