Q: Is it measured in centigrade ?

Yes. But it is a complete waste of money. Wont start when it should, and cant shut it down have to wait till it shuts down on it own.

Q: Can it be used in ear

No it can't be used in ears. It is for oral use, anual or under armpits.

Q: Any thermometers truly made in UK?

Not sure of its origin but when I used it during my Covid-19 illness, it did just the same job as the hospital one considering I'm a health professional.
