Fantastic Air Purifier
Have the non-wifi model. Got it in October 2019 and it still (knock on wood!) works perfectly. We have 3 indoor pets, and what I think is an above average amount of household dust. I mostly blame the two cat litter boxes - despite using supposedly 99% dust-free litter.Anyway, we run it on the Low speed 24/7 in the master bedroom (approx 200 sq ft). It definitely helps with my allergies, especially when I'm sleeping. (we also have a larger Levoit in the main living area)I love the "change filter" indicator. The filters have consistently lasted 3.5 to 4 months, and the amount of brownish-gray dust that coats the filter by the time the indicator light comes on is mind-blowing! Looks exactly like the photos of dirty filters others have posted. And whenever either of us happens to have a cold or flu we run it on Medium while sleeping, and High (too noisy for us to sleep) during the day since it can also supposedly filter out viruses. (Personally I'm a little skeptical of that claim, but figure it can't hurt)**Side Note: I recently read you can vacuum the outside of the filter to remove that layer of dust/dirt to help extend the life of the filter. I did that for the first time a few days ago with my handheld vac, so we'll see how it goes. I'm down for any hacks to cut expenses, even in small ways.As for replacement filters, for the first couple of years I used genuine Levoit filters. Then I switched to an off-brand, "Flintar". I get them here on Amazon. They're all I use now. They come in a 2-pack and the price is a good deal compared to one Levoit filter. I can't tell any difference in quality or performance.Last thing - when I replace the filter I write the date on a little sticky note and stick it on the plastic bottom of the new filter. Even though I wait for the change filter light to come on, for my own curiosity I like to see exactly how long it's been since the last filter change.

GREAT for weed/pet smells 10/10
Honestly 10/10. i searched everywhere for a good/affordable air purifier, i wanted it to be strong enough to reduce the cat litter smell as i have 4 cats,(and the smell and smoke of Weed bc i like to smoke inside), quiet enough it could run while i sleep, and easy to control and this is ALL OF THAT!! not only is it easy to use, the app is as well! you can also put on sleep mode to keep the lights on it off which is great. the power of it is incredible, i mean i turn it on and not 5 minutes later the odor is almost gone if not completely! the filter quality is amazing, lasts so long and so easy to change/use, and they have the awesome pets one which i recommend, it’s great. not only is the product and app great, mine ending up having an issue after a couple months and it took their support team less than a week to send me a free replacement! and they were beyond helpful. i definitely recommend it.

A Must-Have for Cleaner Air — Especially with Pets!
I’ve been using the LEVOIT Core300-P for a few weeks now, and the difference in air quality is noticeable — especially in my bedroom where I also have pets. I wake up with less congestion and no longer see as much dust settling on surfaces. Why I love it:True HEPA filtration: Captures dust, pet hair, and even cooking smells. It’s perfect for allergy season!Quiet sleep mode: Runs almost silently at night — I forget it’s even on.Compact yet powerful: Don’t let the size fool you. It covers a large area and works fast.AHAM Verified & Energy Efficient: Peace of mind knowing it's certified and won’t spike my power bill.Sleek design: The black version blends into any room without looking like an appliance.I highly recommend this purifier for allergy sufferers, pet owners, or anyone wanting fresher indoor air. It’s worth every penny.

Cost effective for small spaces/limited use
An air purifier is not a complicated device. It is a fan, and an air filter. The fan pulls air through the air filter, and catches various particles and impurities in the air. As long as you have a decent HEPA filter, and a fan that has enough velocity to circulate the room air through the filter effectively, it will work to clean the air. You can build one yourself with a box fan and some high quality furnace filters and duct tape if you have to.So what distinguishes this one from the hundreds of others out there, why is it so popular?(1) Low up front costs - this has enough power to handle a small room effectively and a true HEPA filter at a pretty low initial cost.(2) Easy to live with - the fan is very quiet except on high, and even on high it isn't obnoxiously loud. Changing the filter takes about 10 seconds and is easy to do. There is a pre-filter to catch large dust/animal hair and the like which you can vacuum to extend the life of the HEPA filter for small particles. The unit itself is not huge or ugly, so it can sit in the corner of most rooms without being objectionable.(3) Available filters - this unit's extreme popularity means that there will likely be filters available for many years.(4) It does work - I bought an air quality meter after the recent wildfire smoke episode, and it shows me that this thing does a pretty good job in small rooms. In bigger rooms it will still provide some benefit, but it is really not able to move enough air quickly enough to clean a large room.Downsides:The filters are relatively small, so they will have to be changed fairly frequently if you run the unit constantly. How frequently? I don't know, your mileage will vary depending on how many pets you have, how much wildfire smoke is in your area, etc. But I would expect to buy at least two a year if comparing this to other units that may have larger filters you need to change less often. So think about the total running costs and not just the up front cost when comparison shopping here. If you are thinking about saving money by trying to run this in a bigger room than it is designed for, don't go down that road. You do need to size your unit to the area you are trying to keep clean. A large room needs a larger unit with a bigger fan and a bigger filter. Also, all of these things are quieter if not running on high. So it is better to get a bigger unit even one that handles more than you are asking it to, and then run it slower and change the filters less often versus trying to save money up front and then driving the thing as hard as it will go to barely get any benefit.
