Excellent starter kit
This was an awesome starter for what I planned to put together for my girlfriend as it is smaller but offers some serious space to pack in. After organizing some of the stuff and splitting some of the stuff between my more robust back pack, I found she had plenty of space to add even more. For the price and what you get this is a great start up for someone who doesn't know where to start or maybe you need inspiration to get started. Overall the stuff is good quality, the gloves had some powdery thing going on but they seemed sturdy. The food/water is from my preferred companies on Amazon so that's a plus, mres will just constipate you. Comes with good quality paracord. The whistle has a seal tight enough to put matches inside or cotton balls soaked in petroleum without them getting wet, however I doubt the compass would function after submersion(not sure what the other 2 functions are). Super impressed with the crank radio/flashlight, works great, super loud, and I barely spun it maybe 10 times. The first aid is basic but essentials are in there, good pair of scissors and medical shears, but the tweezers could be replaced with something more usable. The med kit has a little give so you can stuff some other useful things you might need in your kit. The shelter options and tips they give you are basic but the most lightweight and useful temporary shelter stuff you can get so it's worth the little space it takes. Overall this is a good bag to have but I recommend figuring out what you might add to it or take away depending on your situation. It's got space but no molle straps for improvement however the point it to remain inconspicuous so I get why.

A great starter kit for building a quality bug out bag
This is a good base to build upon and the price was very good in comparison to other bug out kits I looked at. The packs are decent quality and after repacking the two packs for my wife and I to keep at work, there is still plenty of room to add other items. I would consider the 4 person kit more of a robust 2 person kit with a few backup items. Overall, the quality of the items in the kit are decent. They are not top of the line, but neither is the price of the kit. I think this kit was a good value for what it included and will give me piece of mind that my wife and I are prepared if something would happen while we are at work. If you are going to be using these as workplace bug out kits in order to get home or to your family rally point, I would recommend adding a knife, multi-tool, a second collapsible water bottle w/ filtering tabs, 2-way radios, sunscreen, lighters, a second first aid kit, a second emergency radio with charging capability, compass, flashlight and batteries. If you are using this as a bug out bag to leave your home, I would add everything previously mentioned along with change of clothes, personal hygiene items, and additional food/water.

Great Variety of Items for a Budget
This is a great starting point for any emergency bag. I opted for the 4 person kit and I'm glad I did. After reading the original reviews, I was a little worried about what I would be getting, however I put my faith into the positive ones and it paid off. Here are some of the pros and cons of this kit. Pro: Very neatly package items. They come organized in ziplock bags and are very easy to break down. The bag is black and doesn't say EMERGENCY on it. I know for some people that's not a big deal, but the two bags I received were the ones pictured. Glad to not have a bag that screams out at everyone. Very lightweight. I was pleased to find how lightweight these items are. Though many have are very good quality. Cons: The bags are a nice fallback if you don't have anything else, but the straps are a bit cheap. I can see it holding up for a few weeks, but I suspect the bags may break after regular use. As I said before, this is a great starting place for anyone looking to build a "bug out bag". You could probably get by with the stuff included, but I recommend supplementing these items. The bags have plenty of room to build upon. Summary: Inexpensive, good variety of items to start your bag

Very Satisfied!
Considering the time it came in, the amount for items and the quality. This product served its intent. I have been recommending it to my family and friends.

prepped
EDIT: 2/2/19 we bought another one of these kits, after being burgled, we're disappointed to see that this 'new' kit doesn't have the extra first aid supplies in the form of the advanced kit, and no longer has the self defence claw item. The addition of an extra water filtration item was nice, but the first aid supplies were more important to us. The kit is VERY pared down compared to the last one we purchased. Not especially happy. This arrived today and we are happy with it. It's nice that everything fits inside the main bag leaving the front pockets free to add in your own 'essentials'. It is all organised and labeled in bags and as we hope to only ever have to use it in an emergency situation we feel that it will definitely get us through a few days in relative comfort (some form of shelter, food and water, first aid) The bag is as pictured, black with dark grey accents and doesn't scream attack and murder me for my supplies, and also isn't heavy even fully loaded. I can't see this really pleasing the more enthusiastic heavy duty preppers as it might not have the long term durability they'd be looking for for long hikes/months living in a forest etc. Edit: Disappointed to find only 1 self defence keychain in a pack made for 2. I don't think 1 each would have eaten away too much at anybody's profit margin.

Great starter for a GO Bag
I bought this after being assigned to give a lecture on emergency preparedness and Go Bags to a Deaf class in ASL. Why mention that? Because these bags were packed with everything you need to start a good Go Bag. And included documentation on the bag and the items within was not heavily worded, essential for those for whom English is a second language. I was surprised at the quality of the backpacks that hold all the items within. I expected the bags to be cheap, but they are well made and construction and straps work well to balance even heavy loads on ones back. I also selected these bags because they are not eye-catchy, they are medium sized, gray bags that no one will look twice at. If we need to use them in an emergency, I just want to be unnoticed. I don’t want my go bag to scream, ‘I HAVE SURVIVAL SUPPLIES’. These bags pack all you need, without looking like they do.

Good starting point for prepping
I got the 4 person kit. I'm getting my disaster kit set up for my new house and this is the first time I've ever had to do this. This seems like a good starting point to get all your basic necessities and then customize as needed (especially if you're feeling overwhelmed or unsure about how to begin prepping). The supplies all seemed to be decent quality--not the very best you could find, but decent. The backpacks are comfortable. There's a ton of extra room in the bags for additional supplies (it would be heavy, but everything would fit into one bag). Couple of cons: 2 of the toothbrushes were super cheap quality. I'll probably throw them out and get 2 travel toothbrushes (similar to the other 2 that came in the kit). All the supplies are individually wrapped and/or placed inside waterproof bags...except for the toilet paper. Not a big deal, but seems like a weird oversight. The food has different expiration dates--2 pkgs have 5yrs shelf life, 2 only have 4yrs left. Just make sure you note that so you can rotate out your supplies at the right time.

Good for family outings
So it is a little pricey but all in all its a pretty good product. We used it twice for back yard camping and a hike. I will say the tent is a little cheap. But i understand that this kit is more for a survival situation. I do wish the backpacks had more straps and clips to customize it a little more. The kids love the flash light. Compass doesn't work but to be honest that's not a big deal me. We decided not to consume the food or water. We intend on using that for an actual emergency. That being said if i had to do again i would still buy it. I cant speak on how it does in long term situations because we only used it twice but for those times we used it, it was nice to have.
