Smells amazing, zero hold. At all. In any way whatsoever.
Right out of the box and I couldn’t wait to review it. First impressions are as follows: it smells effin o-mazing. I’ve seen people say “bubblegum” in the reviews but I’ve never chewed bubblegum that smells like roses so I can’t agree with that. It has a very rose-like quality but somehow still a very masculine scent. I can’t put my finger on it exactly. Maybe like roses mixed with a fog machine. Anyway, I have also seen a whole lot of complaints about “ermegherd I can’t wash it off my hands it took like eleventy thousand minutes to wash off” well that’s probably because you’re a special kind of dumb or you have shitty soap ok. Also getting it out of the can and into my hair was not nearly as challenging as I’ve read. I simply scraped a bit out with the back of my fingernail and then emulsified in my hand, duh, then rubbed it in my towel dried/damp hair. No biggie. Also it wipes right off on a hand towel or whatever you use for shaving which is what I used. I combed it in with the wide side of the comb, blow dried, and voila. I think it’s great on all counts so far. Trial period to see how it treats my scalp over time. That’s the kicker for me. Everything breaks my head out eventually except for shu uemura products, but they are very expensive and they also discontinued my two favorite products so that’s why I began my search for a tried and true alternative. I’m 100% impressed so far. I’ve avoided this stuff since I started training my hair for this style due to the petro base but there is really no data to support the idea that it’s bad for your hair or scalp or whatever aside from, yes, if you don’t wash well it could build up and possibly cause some blocked follicle issues, allegedly. I’m happy for now. I was happy with O’Douds multi purpose too until it started leaving flakes in my hair that look like dandruff. Hence the need to investigate some other products. Thanks for reading. Blessings on your journey.Edit: I have been using this for several days now.Pros: all of the above is still true. And this product relieved the itchy scalp and flakes from the O’Douds product, but...Con: zero hold. I’m talking zero. Like none. At all. In any way. Wish it had better hold bc I like everything else about it. Sighhh and on to the next

Lovely!
I love REUZEL. The smell is AMAZING. The hold is quite strong, though not the strongest on the market. This is oil-based (for better and for worse).I find that the added essential oils act as a conditioner on the hair and keep it soft and healthy.

Works well for my hair!
I ordered this REUZEL Pink Grease Pomade after Amazon stopped carrying my previous brand of petrolatum-based product. My previous brand offered monster hold, but it was difficult to spread and wash out in the shower. REUZEL Pink Grease Pomade doesn't offer the same hold as my previous brand, but it is strong. It also smells good and leaves my hair soft, but styled and re-workable, if needed. It's actually easier to emulsify, apply, and wash out than my previous brand. Of course, be aware that it is petrolatum-based and not water soluble. Some shampoos remove petrolatum-based pomade better than others. I typically towel dry and then comb and style my hair after showering. I then use a marble sized amount of pomade, emulsify it in my hands, and then apply it to my hair, while avoiding my scalp.

Grease!
Grease based so some of it will eventually run down onto your forehead, esp if it is hot. Pleasant, light smell of bubble gum. After 8 or so hours it's not as strong (which is to be expected) but still a firm hold propably owing to the beeswax. Somtimes very small white clumps form. Difficult to wash out even the next day. Overall a very good grease based product, will set you apart from guys who don't use grease.

A few tips to help out.
This is pretty awesome stuff. There are other reviewers stating that "the hold is nonexistent", "extremely sticky, and tough to remove", "Very waxy and heavy" and, "It smells like old candle wax". I would like to add a few tips to help out if possible. For a wax pomade the hold is definitely there. I can style a 3-4" pomp if not taller with this stuff no problem. If you're expecting a hold that gel gives you or a water based pomade, this is not for you. It meant to be restyled throughout the day if need be without extra application of product.Yes, it is sticky, heavy, and waxy. It's bees wax. There's no getting around that. Does it smell like candle wax? I wouldn't think so. It also doesn't smell exactly like bumble gum either though, but is much closer that the latter. It's a relatively sweet candy type of smell. Is it tough to remove from the can? No more so than any other wax based product. IMHO, to me this is much softer and easier to scoop out than other wax pomades like Murrays. A little pressure is all it takes.Personally, this works best after a few days of pomade buildup. 2-3 days after (re)applying, combing and styling, you'll love this stuff. After a week, you'll be hooked. Google therebelrouser if you want to know more about pomade buildup. He also does a great job explaining the differences between pomades. The Reuzel website also has great info and videos on styling and how to use this particular product. Take a look and give it a try.reuzelpomade.com
