Right amount of Protein and Fiber
Back in November I had an appointment with a fish vet. She checked my water parameters and the water change routine which were great. When asked what I was feeding them she said it wasn’t good for my fancy goldfish because there was too much fiber and not enough protein. Several foods were recommended and I chose to switch to Omega One Goldfish Pellets. It’s April now - the change in my fish is remarkable! They had an amazing growth spurt! I’m posting a couple photos showing the tail fin’s new growth on oranda Smokee. Her wen bulked up too.I like the ingredients. There’s no mysterious ‘fish meal’, there’s salmon, whole herring, wheat germ and shrimp, pea powder plus vitamins. No artificial flavors either. My fish 😊 love it!

Not as good as the medium size—but good!
I’ve used Omega One for many years because of the high quality ingredients, the fact that they sink quickly, and do not crumble. My fish get fat and healthy on it and it does not cloud the tanks. It’s been important to their health. I’m grateful for it. Recently, when my fish grew on Omega One medium pellets until almost a foot long, I switched from medium pellets to this large size. However, I did not know the recipe is different on the large pellets. They did not sink immediately. Many pellets stayed floating on the top. Before I knew it, my prized super round Ryukin fish had bloat! From sucking air while feeding. She was upside down and could not right herself. She was in distress. I switched back to the medium pellets and in a few weeks she was able to swim and keep herself right again. It was a scary time before she got better because she is much loved and I’ve grown her for years from an invisible fry to a rare, huge beauty and had never had any problems with her swim bladder. The other fish did not have an issue with swallowing air when feeding, but I can’t use this on those with round body types like Ranchu or Ryukin. I do love the medium pellets! She is all well again, but the floating pellets could do her in, I’m afraid.

High quality ingredients, perfect to mix with other food
I like this using this goldfish pellet in addition to bug bites and other variety pellets I mix together and put into my automatic feeder. This is the best price and jarred amount I’ve found between online and my local pet stores which only sell a smaller size that is more expensive. My goldfish also enjoy frozen de-shelled peas and frozen brine shrimp. Variety is the spice of life! This food has really high quality ingredients from doing my research between what’s available on Amazon and browsing what’s available to me in brick and mortar stores at a decent price. This is my first time purchasing it from Amazon and not from a local store. I discovered they sell it in an even larger 2 pound size which I will be buying next! I highly recommend. I’m also not concerned over whether it sinks immediately or not. Probably 3/4 dispensed sinks immediately and the rest floats for a while. I have 7 goldfish and some love scavenging off the bottom and some love going straight to the top. Everyone’s happy.

I love them and so does my fantails.
My local and big box pet stores used to carry these but stopped for whatever reason, cant find them anywhere now. Amazon to the rescue! And at a good price too!I like how my fish goes nuts for them, how quickly they sink (definitely dont want the fish to gulp air). Ive tried the other sinking pellets my stores had and they suck. Takes forever to sink and 7/10 pellets never sinks no matter how long you leave it. I believe it was the aqeon and api sinking pellets
