Listen, you cant go wrong with a K&N. Its a good filter, it is made of soft silicone like material and it fits pretty good into the OEM box. You do not need to make any modifications, you do not need to make any cutting, basically its a copy and paste job. You need a Philips screw to remove the air filter box and some Yamaha oil(optional). The reason why I mention the Yamaha oil is because me, personally, I like to smooch a tiny bit of oil into my filters so that any small particles get trapped in into the filter. This is something I picked up as scooter mechanic from an old grease monkey.BE AWARE: Once you change your air filter, you'll notice in increase in speed pick up. You're not going to run any faster than 60 MPH, but you'll def get quicker to that 60 MPH than the original air filter. Be careful you DO NOT pin your bike at a full throttle for too long. Since you have increased your air intake, your fuel intake will have also increased, so you are going to drain your tank much quickly than normal. This is pretty much common sense. Also, if you have not been doing this already, I recommend to start using V-Power Plus Gasoline on your scooter and motorcycle, don't a be cheap. Its better to spend a few extra cents of fuel than to start replacing parts.Hope this helps some one.

slapped it right in no modding at all, can immediately tell a difference

I put this in my Yamaha Zuma 125 (I have the cool one with "bug eye" headlights, not the lame one from last year). This air filter adds a noticeable amount of performance, both in initial acceleration and top speed. Ditch the OEM filter and get one of these. You even re-use these filters if you saturate them with Simple Green, blast them off with water and let them completely dry. Have fun & wear a helmet.

Good airflow; i can actually tell vs the stock filter. A big plus is that this is reusable and replaces the throw-away stock filter which is not recyclable. I would highly recommend this product.
