This is a lot of ink!
When just starting in lino carving I was trying to find affordable supplies. The price of this ink was very reasonable and it's a lot of ink! Just takes a little bit to do a series of prints. It's oil base so dry time is slower than water base. In the learning curve that is a plus because the ink doesn't dry up on the lino block while you're printing. I use it for mono (one color) prints. On some pieces, I come back with watercolor paints to add highlights. Take some time to clean up the inside of the lid and the lip around the canister to make use less messy. Good ink at a good value.

Great pro results with soap and water cleanup!!
Absolutely love this stuff!! Amazon needs to work on packaging it for shipping because two of the 4 so far have shown up dented and leaking BUT the product is great. The foreground of my photo is a proof pressing of the phlanto blue vs the a water based speedball ink used to do the orginal proof. My next two pieces are multi color so I'll really get to finally focus on the absorption/"dry" time officially finally but overall it should not be an issue if you are not pressed for time. I'm assuming itll be a few day process based on how long single colors have taken me so far. Beautiful pigment, very opaque, thick to spread but no mineral spirits needed and that was huuuuuge. I'm basically buying a color a week at this point, they're that good.

It works great! I am in a beginner printmaking class so it has done the job!

Jet Black but Messy
Pro: LOVE this product's jet black color and thickness as I work with Lino printmaking. You cant a blacks depth anywhere else. I've tried multiple brands. Con: Extremely messy. If you've never would with loose ink , I would recommend going for ink in a tube instead. If you do happen to work with this, the best way to clean it up is with Dove dish detergent and water. DO NOT get lazy and wait a day to clean up; it will be harder.

Great inks, but beware of packaging
These inks are great, and rival other oil based printmaking oils out there. Be careful when unboxing and opening these, though. They were placed upside down in the box which led to a tiny bit of leakage on a few and caused air bubbles in the cans themselves that I remedied by taking the plastic skin off and tapping the can’s bottom. Overall, I completely recommend these for intermediate printmakers and I see myself using these for quite a long time.

I've gotten beautiful results with fine details and the process color inks ...
I'm several months into learning block printing so I haven't tried other brands but these inks were a HUGE step up from the Speedball starter set. I've gotten beautiful results with fine details and the process color inks combine beautifully to make the exact shade I'm after. Good opacity, dry to a nice velvetty finish on smooth paper. If dry time is too fast, use the included retarder. I haven't had any issues with dry time but I'm working small. My favorite though is the ink extender -- I use this to make my layers translucent for different color interaction effects. My only complaint is that if I use too much of the extender, there's a definite texture when I roll the ink out. That might be an issue with my brayer, though.

Total garbage.
Bought the six pack. Every single one is completely ruined. Crusty goo everywhere, opened up and all of them are dried out with the nasty skin over them - ruined, cannot be used, waste. Trying for a replacement, no faith that the next will be any better. Angry.

Messy inside the box
mine arrived in a leaky container but seemingly only some oil was lost. I cleaned the outside of the jar, stirred the contents and was able to print a satisfactory result.
