Oscar SchmidtOG1CE-A-U Folk Acoustic Electric Guitar - Natural

For the money, this is one of the nicest guitars I've bought. That list includes Gibson, PRS, Taylor, Fender...Beautiful design, bright, punchy sound, and no issues with the neck/frets etc. as I read in a few reviews. Even came with D'Addario coated strings.I've added a second strap knob at the neck heel, and will lower the bridge slightly soon.The only negative note is that the fretboard is extremely narrow at the nut (and the length of the neck, for that matter). So strings are very close together, making chording difficult without lots of practice. They may have been thinking in terms of a child's starter guitar. But this is so well made that it's a great option for anyone looking for a 3/4 scale (travel) guitar or parlor guitar. So if you're listening KMC Music, widen that neck!Highly highly recommended aside from the narrow fingerboard thing.

I have Yamaha 3/4 acoustic guitars and this OG1C Oscar Schmidt cost about the same but looks more classy. Tuners are of high quality and closed type. Bridge pins are plastic multi-colored tips which that adds a nice classy touch to the overall appearance to the guitar and attention to detail by the factory. I will consider buying more Oscar Schmidt acoustic guitars. This one is very well made with a perfect, no blemish, satin natural finish. Did not come with a pick guard as shown in the photo. No deductions for this as I had rather install my own pick guard because I trim them so as to give them a unique appearance. Since it is 3/4 size and low string action, perfect guitar for the beginner and/or those with small hands. 14 playable frets and 22 total frets. Note that there are no sharp fret ends as found on many less expensive acoustic guitars. Also has truss rod and comes with truss rod adjust wrench.--Seller is Austin Bazaar

The low e string on the guitar I recurved buzzes no matter what on the first fret. I emailed the company about this and no response.

For it's price I don't really know where you can go wrong, it sounds great and there's no buzzing at all when strumming. The finish is near flawless except for some very small imperfections that aren't noticeable unless you're looking for them. It even comes with a built in tuner for those who don't like carrying around a tuner wherever you're goin. Anyways, as a budget guitar or for first timers that want the electric capabilities without sacrificing the acoustic practicality you can't go wrong with this Oscar Schmidt.
