Great Router bit
I purchased this router bit to make a picture frame to showcase my son's college degree. After reading many reviews, some not so good, decided to purchase with the thought that if it just made it through this one frame I would consider it a good deal. The wood I used was an exotic hardwood known as Zebrawood, which is notorious for all kinds of problems when surfacing due to interlocking grain patterns. I believe the negative reviews may be because of the way the bit was used. As with any full profile bit like this one you must take many small cuts to achieve a quality finish. The result's I achieved were nothing short of perfection, almost zero tear out (one small spot which was easily corrected with fine sanding), a fantastic smooth finish ready for light sanding and a router bit that I feel will be able to produce many more projects in the future. After using this bit I will be looking for other bits from this manufacturer for upcomong projects. I have many router bits from Bosch, Freud, Oldham etc. and feel this to be equally as good, just much cheaper.

Decent for the price
Made one 20 by 16 frame. One thing I noticed is that after completing the cut on the frame, the bit was already showing signs of dulling. I am sure this is to be expected for the cost as you always get what you pay for. But I did get my money back from selling the frame. It did work. It jumped a bit after it started dulling but nothing I couldn't fix with some time consuming sanding. I give it four stars. It made me money and I did get at least one frame out of it even if it might only make one more. I am not sure if i am able to sharpen it yet. I do not think it comes apart like my other bits. But I will try. That may get me some more life out of if. Worth the purchase if you are in it to make a little money.

Pleasantly Surprised
With an adjustable speed router, making several passes with increasing depth, this bit created a beautiful profile in the cherry stock I was working with. The bit is surprisingly well balanced and leaves a very clean profile. I don't think I would hesitate buying other Yonico bits in the future.

OK in a pinch
Yonico is definitely not my go-to brand for router bits, but they will work in a pinch. When using on exotics or exceptionally hard wood, multiple passes may be needed.

Disclaimer: I'm not the best at using a router but I will provide some insight. ( See pictures)1. Router table is a must. Material must be at least 1" thick. Router must be a variable speed router.2. Drop your router speed to 8,000 - 10,000 RPM3. This bit is going to play on your patience. Start with your fence barley showing the bit... when you run this through it should nick the wood. Run it at least 2 times. In very, small increments, (I mean barley noticable) move the fence back and repeat with 2 passes. Again it is going to take maybe 30, 40 passes to get your desired result. This bit leaves a beautiful profile but it is very unforgiving. It will eat and chew material rendering it unusable. I also recommend practice on a piece of scrap first.

Picture frame router bit
This bit was so unbalanced that it vibrated my 2 HP router out of my 200 pound router table. My 2HP router has run numerous large diameter router bits that are quality made. Put the bit in a 3 1/4 HP router just to dampen the vibration. The bit would not stay in the collet. Had to readjust the bit height after every pass. After many frustrating hours finally finished the project.

Lesson learnt.
The router bit was not symmetrical, it vibrated significantly to the point of danger. The bit was difficult to remove.Tested my router with my other large bits from well known brands such as Freud and cmt, no worries, they hum smoothly as they should. The yonico bit is in the bin, lesson learnt.
