Q: Can you remove the bar and turn elbows for decoration? I don’t need towel but like the size of shelf

It’s been a while since we installed it but I think the pipes and elbows come attached; and cannot be separated. Hth

Q: This item comes with drywall anchors but doesn't specify how much weight they're rated for. How much can this shelf hold with the included hardware?

On mine I started one side into a a stud with 2 screws. The other 6 were with the anchors. It's pretty solid. Mostly used for towels.
